I posted some stuff in my intro thread here, but I guess progress reports belong over in the Painting & Modeling sub-forum (so here I am!). I'm a noob, so please be gentle.
Here are a couple of Plasma toting Plague Marines I made yesterday from berserker & DA bits... with a bone hand & a leg thrown-in from the skeleton warriors box. No champions in my plasma squads, so I think I have almost everything ('cept for a rhino-tank) I need to put everybody together already.
Still been too chicken to try out my GS, but there's still plenty of time for that.

Great Job!
Don't forget to drill out the gun barrels and clean up those mold lines on the plasma guns.

Yeah, I've drilled-out all the barrels on the Bolters... but with the Flamers & Plasmas... I dunno. I'm going to try to paint black scorch marks on the ends anyway.
Thanks for the kind words! More pics coming soon

Not much more to add here so far, just got a clearer (I hope) picture of the other limping PM, and a CSM from the 3 man box. They'll probably both go into one of the Plasma squads.

i have a recommendation, love them they look awesome but with the bullet holes take either a larger drillbit or something bigger to make an indent in it like this
http://www.miniwargaming.com/content/Gmp3mSk80WLg
its on how to make bullet holes on deff dread but you can make them on anything
good project and good luck

I like what you have going here. Nice start to this concept. The only things that pop out at me are; the weapons look to be in PRISTINE condition compared to their armor (doesn't make sense) and the coffin lid magically stuck to the side of the bolt pistol. There are too many reasons why you should just lose the coffin lid altogether and use it for basing material instead.
*EDIT*
Also, dude, the green text? Is it absolutely necessary? Some people have dark monitors, like mine at work, where I am stuck for the next 7 hours, and it makes reading your posts REALLY difficult. I almost didn't respond, but I like your minis, so I had to toss my two cents in despite not knowing what you typed.

Ghidorah, you made me smile. Thank you
Oh, and Esty Buckets, your models are great. I've always been a fan of converted 'zerkers and I've to say that yours are one of the finest one I've seen. Keep up the good work.

The coffin lids are staying, as I explained in my intro post; I know they aren't for everyone, but I like them. The weapons won't look as pristine once they're painted (hopefully).
If you're having that much trouble reading dark font... try hi-lighting the text; works everytime.
I'll try to post more pics later today Automatically Appended Next Post:
Today I did my first tests with Green Stuff. I think it came-out pretty well. I have another one of those hooded heads with the exposed face... I think I'll give it the same treatment. I mixed more material than I needed, so I rolled the left-overs into little balls; I might try to sculpt them into censer balls later (I may even try to make chain if I'm feeling up to it).
