Well my Warlock is my current priority, I just finished my Swooping Hawk, and Banshee is on the work bench. What do you guys think, I think my Banshee has a little to much red on the model... but I will leave the opinions to you fellas. Let me know.

Very nice, smooth highlights and even basecoats. I like the contrast between the red and basecoat. What's your paint scheme for the blue/turquoise?

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money
"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Thank you for your kind compliments. I have to much fun painting 1 model and making a unique base for it, never been able to complete a complete army. I can post some more pictures of my VX88 Tau Battlesuit I just completed. I also have some Dark Eldar Wych conversions I have made and painted that I could post. Just let me know, and I will get them up

Im currently painting that exact warlock model at the moment. Can i ask what paint you used for the cloak? I'm painting mine in the craftworld Iybraesil scheme and its very similiar.
Your swooping hawk is amazing, i really mean that...really nice blending. I think I'm going to get a few - the lord is a nice model, like you i have never finished an army. I don't really play, just paint the models i think look good.
I agree about to much red on the banshee. Maybe if it was lighter it would fit the blue a bit better. The greens are really sweet!
Yeah dude, get all your stuff up. You have some skill, i wanna see more!

Of course, as an American, that means I must say that soccer sucks, and football (real football... you know, the one where you do everything with your hands) is 10,000 times as good. I mean, football players could probably beat up soccer players, even, because they actually know sports. Well, I am kinda hypethical, and I use strickly GW paints.. lol... but for the cloak, I started with a basecoat of Shadow Grey, then I did 50/50 shadowgrey and turqouise, then 100 turqouise, then 50/50 turqouise and ice blue, then 100 ice blue, and then a touch of white. I keep my paints pretty watered down, makes it easy for when I screw up I just grab another brush and clean it up quick.
As for the Swooping Hawk, I am in the works on making another one.
As well as the banshee, I planned on lightening up the red a little more, with a 50/50 blood red and sunburst yellow. Wanna see the Reaper Exarch I am also painting... so far he is looking pretty good, I need some help though.
I will get him up in a minute...

Alright so hear is my Reaper Exarch in the works still... Automatically Appended Next Post: Alright so here is my problem, I want to either keep his face black and highlight it, or got skull white... Only problem... none of my other models have skull white on them... so I think it will put the model out of place... What do you guys think?

I just went over the reapers head in white with a red gem in photoshop...He looks real good actually. But then the skull on the chest looks strange.
Would be nice to see the blade have some sorta dark blend on it.
But it's all up to you.
I would do the head white though...

Stuff is lookin good , but the blending can use one more shade between each step from afar it looks super great up close although it still looks nice , you can really notice the line between shade to shade .
hope I explained that well enough , also I love the color palette used .
