Hello all, I recently started painting and playing 40K. I was looking for any input or suggestions. The Chaos marines were my first attempts, and the Orcs I did for a friend. I just started working with shading and highlights on the Orcs. Let me know what you think. Thanks in advance.

Looks good for a start!

The pictures are not perfectly sharp so maybe I'm wrong, but it looks like the paint on your terminator lord could be a bit thinner. Remember, 'tis better to use multiple, diluted layers compared to one thick layer.

Apart from that, looks like clean, crisp painting. The clothpieces on the terminator lord look especially nice, did you use many washes/highlighting on it or is this a result of the picture lightning?

I did a lot of washes and highlights on the cloth. By mistake, I just recently started using that technique and like the results much more. As for the pics I'm not sure what happend they look much better when viewing them on my camera and laptop. I will try to add some better ones but thanks for the input.
