So I'm painting my genestealers from SH, and since I want them to match the rest of the art from the game, I'm painting them following GW's steps here:

and as I'm doing the claws in Chaos Black/Space Wolves Grey 2:1, I'm wondering - am I supposed to be painting their entire claws this color, or just the outer part of it, like a highlight?

Also, if anyone else is doing this method, some of these steps sort of suck, like painting the metal 1:1 chaos black and BB wash - that leads to completely black metal. Just BB wash is much better.

I would think the claws would be done as a highlight, than as opposed to colouring the entire claw.
