My warstore order just came and now i have all things to start my waaagh, i got 100buyz and 10 nobz for 100€, so that was kinda cool. BUt they are one pose so they need a lot of chopping, i chopped 10 nobz that same evening.

Looks like some pretty good conversion work! Could you take some seperate pictures for us so we can see each model more clearly?

That mek is pretty damn cool looking tho. If I could turn back time, Id put a big ass flamer on my Warboss just because I think Orks + flames = pure awesome.(it would obviously still count as a big shoota, but it would look cool)

Have started painting the boyz but nothing worthy to take pictures yet. But i have been thinking of making another ork army after this... NINE BATTLEWAGONS!!!

I know EXACTLY what you mean! I just this week finished painting my first full squad of boys (from the AoBR set, like yours) and that was probably the longest part of the painting, definately the most frustrating!

Stick in there and it will all pay off in the end.

BTW, those conversions are great looking!

Yea painting boyz will make you want to kill things. Ive got about 80 boyz in my army, and Im still not done painting those guys.


I find painting them assembly line style works best. Meaning, paint a groups skin only. One after another. Then when the last one has green skin, paint the metal, through all of them and so on. And on things like skin or leathers that have a couple layers of color, do only one layer at a time. So with mine, Ill do the base coats(spray paint is the only way to go lol black) then Ill paint the darker shade of green on all of them, then the medium green on all of them, then the brighter green. That way you can really pump some stuff out.

Im depressed again because I lost a game again. That freakin terminatorsquad took me 50boyz 10 nobz zogwot and 3 deffkoptas. I managed to kill 2 of them...

Make him roll enough saves, and he'll fail.....

They're looking good, (._.), though I'd recommend drilling out the gun barrels if you get chance, as it seems to make quite a big difference to the look of the model.

I know i should drill them but damn, theres over 130 barrels to drill..

Can we have a look at your army list so that we can help you with a little tactics maybe? But remember, don't lose the spirit! you will always lose alot of games when you play a new army, but after a while you will come up with a good tactis and te winning will come sooner or later trust me..

I like your conversions.

I never, ever drill barrells (I'd rather buy a wolf lord than a drill...)

Hq - Old zogwort

Elite - 10 Nobs with big choppa and waaagh banner

Troops
- 30 Boyz with nob, 2 bigshootas and rokkit launcher
- 30 Boyz with nob, 2 bigshootas and rokkit launcher
- 20 Boyz with nob, bigshoota and rokkit launcher
- 20 Boyz with nob, bigshoota and rokkit launcher

Fast attack - 3 deffkoptas with kustom mega-blastas.

And this is the list im making

Hq - Old zogwort

Elite
- 5 lootas with 3 meks
- 5 lootas with 3 meks

Troops
- 30 Boyz with 3 Rokkit launchas
- 30 Boyz with 3 Rokkit launchas
- 30 Boyz with 1 Rokkit launcha and 2 bigshoota
- 30 Boyz with 3 bigshootas
- 30 Boyz with 3 bigshootas
- 30 Boyz with 3 bigshootas

Second like looks fine, throw zogwort in with the boyz, he gets a 4+ cover save, can turn any pesky HQ's into squigs, etc.

Though, you should drop all the big-shootas and rokkits if you are not going w/ shoota boyz, instead, put a nob w/ PK and bosspole on each mob, it goes a long way for your anti tank.

Take meks off lootas, I don't know why you have any one there, lootas are long range, meks are short range.


On to the first list.

Again, if its not shootas, take all special ranged weps off, put in a nob w/ PK and bosspole.

Take those durn K'M'B's off the deffkoptas, you can get a twin-linked rokkit launcha for less, and because of the bs2, the twin-linked goes a LONG way.

This is slightly OT, but I find Karon's avatar hilarious; I started reading this thread, saw it, started reading the post and went 'wait a minute, when did I write this?'.

My biggest concern with the above list is the overwhelming lack of power klaws in those troops squads. If you get tangled in CC with something sizable, like a Carnifex, you've basically lost the entire squad.
