So, who want's a Christmas present?

Outrider Hobbies is going to give one lucky girl or boy a present for Christmas. A set of custom cut foam. What do I mean by a set? Enough foam to fill a standard Army Transport from Sabol Designs, custom cut to your specifications.

Now, how do you qualify to get this gift?

1) Sign up for the Outrider Hobbies newsletter. You can find the link in the upper right corner both on http://outriderhobbies.blogspot.com or on the Official Site, http://www.outriderhobbies.com.

2) Be good until Christmas. No I have no way to check this, but it's Christmas.

3) Check your email Christmas morning. I will announce the winner at 12AM Christmas morning. I'm usually up late getting presents and what not ready for the kids, so I will email the winner and post it here before I go to bed.

Anyone in the mailing list at 11PM, Arizona Time, is eligible to win. No purchase is necessary, appreciated, but not necessary. Also, We are not affiliated with Sabol Designs, and their trademarks are used here without permission. I just really like their stuff, and think you should buy their bags.

Fantazmo, this is trolling, and clearly against the Dakka rules. Please click the the Rule #1 link in my sig for a complete list of the Dakka rules.

Thank you.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

I am having a real hard time reviewing your store. If I hit the link "Foam for Models" it only shows 3 products at random.

Edit: OK I see that you have to hit the little "+" (and keep hitting it) in the upper corner to reveal other items...something that is really easy to overlook. Personally, I want to be able to hit your 28" Heroic Scale Link and see all your product offerings.

Well, don't worry, a store upgrade is coming in the new year. Just having a heck of a time since I am the one doing the site myself. Should be ready by February.

Thread Necromancy? In my forums? I think not!

A while back I was the lucky winner of some custom foam sets, given away at Christmas. After discussing army size, measuring tanks and other details, the foam was cut and arrived last week. As a thank you for the kindness, I'm posting the results here. Let it also be known these are the first custom trays I've owned. The foam is solid, durable, and doesn't have any smell. I really appreciate the fact that they came with all the foam inserts as keeping them in gives the tray more stability. Not sure if this is standard practice or not.

First off are a mix of slightly deeper 1.5" meant regular troopers, weapon teams, and has room for a couple spaces that are wider than normal to fit some more dynamically posed figures like my WIP DKOK Sgt. Next we have some 1" trays are pretty straight forward and fit my basic troopers (running as well as standing) really well.

Here we have a highly customized tray for the tanks and banner carriers. Both types of Krieg banners fit perfectly in here and are easy to get in/out. Next up we have a lemun russ cut and a vanquisher that both have been cut to accommodate the track rails on the back side. Other square holes are for turrets or my sponsons which are magnetized, objective markers, or whatever else fits. Lastly we have a couple of cimmeria trays, cut with the long turret able to fit. These are a little different than normal since they're configured to be wide enough to hold one with the FW extra armor on it.

SO, a big THANK YOU once again to Outrider Hobbies for this! I appreciate it very much!

Moopy,

I'm glad you liked them. This was a lot of fun to work on and I'm glad that it worked out as well as it did.

And thanks for all your patience and putting up with all the questions I asked.

Happy Gaming!
