Now For Something Completely Different Scenarios

The upcoming missions book has made me think of some of the deferent scenarios we came up with in the past.

The 1st one: The Heroic 7: [Stolen from both the Seven Samaria and a WHFB Scenario.]
-This is a very lopsided fight, but sometimes this can be fun. This is also good for players who have lost of minis and the other does not. This does at a point turn into a series of Close Combats spread around the battlefield

Players A: Pick 7 “Characters”
-There are no Points for building, the “Character Must Be Legal though.
-All Must be from the same faction: example Imperials [Space Marines/Imperial Guard].
-You can [you sort of have to] Break the standard FOC.
-These can be Special Characters like Logan or Vulcan.
-Personal Creations: Chapter Masters, Ork Warboss ECT.
-You can use other type units as long as they are capable of being a single unit: Marbo, Venerable Dreadnoughts ECT.
-You can pull individual Characters out of there units: Arjac Rockfist, Sergeant Telion.
-You may take One Vehicle, if it is a Special Character: Pask.
-All the “Characters” may Choose to Pass or Fail any Leadership Test that is Required [If you wish this may override Fearless].
-Creed’s Master Tactician [Or any similar rule]: Is change to may Move One Character after Player B Deploys.
-All of the Characters have Eternal Warrior. If they have Eternal Warrior give them Feel No Pain. If they have both they get nothing.
-The “Characters” may not join up with other “Characters”

Player B:
-Take at least twice what player A has in point’s value, minimum 2,000 points.
-You must fulfill the FOC for a Standard Mission.
-No unit may Deep Strike.
-With out Numbers: Can be brought on any table edge on your side of the table.
-It you do not have enough points any troop choice has “Without Numbers” for free.

Set up:
Player A: Decides who sets up the terrain, You, Him or both.
-Optimal: Player B sets up the table, player A can move any terrain up to 6”, but may not add any.
Player A: Sets Deploys 1st in the 1st half of the table [Long works best]
-NO UNITS may be put in Reserves!
Player B: Deploys 12” on.
Player A: May not infiltrate. Or make Scout Moves.
Player A: Decides who has 1st Turn.

Game Length: Standard variable length or until one side is destroyed.

Victory Conditions:
-If the 7 Destroy Player B this is a Victory.
-If Player B Destroys the 7 this is a Victory.
-Otherwise use normal Victory Conditions.
-If the 7 can kill twice their value it is a Victory.

Using Kill Points
-Each Character is 1 Kill Point
-Player A wins if he ends with twice the KP as player B.

I am a Furry that plays with little Toy Soldiers; if you are taking me too seriously I am not the only one with Issues.

OMG
This seems....a bit lopsided. Have you tried playtesting this?

"And what are the achievements of your fragile Imperium? It is a corpse rotting slowly from within while maggots writhe in its belly. It was built with the toil of heroes and giants, and now it is inhabited by frightened weaklings to whom the glories of those times are half-forgotten legends."

Oh yes and I won with the 7 by clearing the table, this was back in early 4th. It is suposed to be lopsided, but that is what make this one fun.

Looks quite enjoyable. Might find a way to fit this into my campaign. I just beat the Dark Angels player of his headquarters (we did the fort scenria, except he had 4 bastions as well). Might represent the survivors of the base attack?

War of Attrition

I have not tried this with Kill points yet or in 5th. This one came into existence because of one player. Unless it was a tournament he would only bring one army: 3,000 points of Chaos with Abadon. Then if was a tournament or different points it would be what ever the points were with Adadon. This turned out a way to have quick games with large armies and to represent the losses and fog of war that happens. Normally you end up with lots of troops and Fast Attacks. It should be interesting now that Troops are so important.

War of Attrition Rules:
-Everything is as a Standard Mission of whatever you Choose or roll.
-Each Player gets 3,000 points legal force including on the FOC.
-You place both armies on the field with HQ’s on the left, then Elites, Troops, Fast Attacks and the Heavies.
-Determine who goes first with any method you choose.
-Then take turns choosing one of your opponents units and remove them from the Board.
-When you can no longer remove a unit without taking the army below 1,000 points they stop losing units.
-Once neither army can remove units remove the “Surviving Units” from the board and start the game with rolling for deployment and continue the game as normal from there.
-Yes it is possible to not fulfill the FOC at the end.

-The Units Removed can count as casualties if you wish.

Bar Fight

This one requires both armies to have Bike Units. IG could use Rough Riders or Sentinels.

Set up the table with a large low building in the middle, this is the Bar.
-Each army places one Infantry Squad [Troop Choice Only] within 2” of each other inside the “Bar”.
-Each army places one “Bike Squad on Opposite Sides of the Bat.
-Everything else is put into reserves.

[We came up with this one as I was assempling my Swiftclaws and they all looked like they were sitting in front of a biker bar]
