That is quite incredible. Even though it's not painted the attention to detail is fantastic. Your usage of CoD pieces have made a great scene.
I look forward to seeing more of your work.
Cheers,
Jack.

Some really great ideas in here. I love how the use of polystyrene packaging as simple 'stone platforms' for your buildings really increases the height and granduer of the CoD bits...

Great setting and scene I agree. I wish I had such a board with such detail to play on!

Very impressive! I like the combination of scratchbuilds and plastic kits. Roughly how high are the buildings compared to minis?
And any chance of a front view of the statue in the last pic?
Keep up the good work- can't wait to see it painted!

The structure of the table is based on 30x30 cm modules, just like this:
for scale purpose you can see a IG on the balcony, in the front shot of the clock tower, or down there in the middle of the board
The statue is a 40 mm plastic figure, some WW2 german officer I think, the only shot of him is the following:

looks excellent. What are your painting plans? With buildings this nice, please do not go the usual route of painting everything monochromatic grey...

What are you going to do paint wise for the statue? Like are you going to go for a green verdigris or an iron, rust or something else?

DOn't really know yet, I think I'll go for a dark metallic like boltgun, but I'm not really good (or patient) on painting.
Waaagh_Gonads wrote:How long did it take to do?
5-6 months, working o sundays afternoon, holydays and such, while watching old star trek series (lot of dialogue, very good to keep you company while wasting time with toy soldier)

I'm afraid that the plan for now is a good passage or two with grey spray and then a lot of drybrush, and then some detail.
I need to finish it by march for the Imperial Battle (Italian private event) and I still need to do another 60x30 block, texture the street, paint it all up and then do a whole new board webway themed, so I'm pretty much pressed at the moment (in the meantime I still need to go on with the rest of my life, you know: work, university, fencing, kendo...).
Hope I'll not find a girlfriend in the meantime.
I promise I'll get creative with the drybrush colors anyway
