Got a Landraider a friend gave me as thanks for some work sitting in a container of LA's totally awesome, might strip that after work tonight and see about reworking some of the pieces.
Also...going to sort of pseudo-fabricate a second Land Raider's sponson mounts as the ones that initially came with the thing were glued/broken. Hoooorrray for knife work!

Hmm I can't tell if those are Horribly Indescribable, or Indescribably Horrible. Or well neither, something about seeing it in a single static pose and not half hidden in the dark and disbelief of my own mind makes them somewhat less hideous. What's giving you trouble? Say what I will about GW, their kits are usually pretty solid.
Finished painting Eva from mars attacks!, the face was a tad soft, but nothing I couldn't work with. I think having hollow spots in which to paint my own eyes may actually be easier than painting nigh-microscopic eyes I've found on other minis. Maybe I'm just making excuses since I invested a fair amount in Mars Attacks!, but I dunno, I'm pretty happy with Eva. She painted up quick and looks fine to me, standard tabletop quality I usually do. Gotta seal her yet, only drawback of dipping is waiting nearly a day to seal lol.
I may clip out some deadzone ruined tiles and consider expanding some of my smallest deadzone buildings.

Gecko squad. Will post pics when they're done. I went with orange and tan colors, like the Ground GM from Gundam 8th team. My whole nomad army is that color.
Like this!
That's only a part of my Nomads.
Freaking A, the detail in these infinity minis are unreal.

Well if I find time tonight (which I will probably have), I am going to start going through everything I own gaming wise and start down sizing.
And downsize I will. Looking at getting rid of everything 40k except my Black Templars and Valkyries (and maybe a few characters). Probably get rid of all the fantasy stuff I have. Then it is on to the non- GW stuff.
Honestly I will probably be getting out of gaming for awhile. I will keep my Mantic stuff because that is small and easy to play here and there.
edit: And if there is time I will paint more dreadball

Cleaning the kitchen table off, and the board thats sits on the fridge next to it, making space for a new toy.. Air compressor and space for a box to spray into.
Amazing, forgot there was actually a table under all this stuff, thought it just was bits of plastic and paint scrapings all the way to the centre of the earth, turns out there is a table under there after all (as my wife wasted no time in pointing out ever so slightly sarcastically.. she really is worth her weight in gold just for the sense of humour)
Away this weekend but hopefully Monday will give it a test drive and probably end up with three pet rats in a range of colours as the swines get everywhere and a new toy is bound to attract them.
Be interesting to see if I can get more paint on the model than my fingers like last time

Today/Last night Iā¦
Placed orders for new Dark Angels and Space Wolf bits, plus some vanilla marines, plus some new codices I've missed in the last few months
Received an order from Bitzbox (Big thumbs up to them)
Assembled some Dark Vengeance Dark Angels
Got distracted from further DV DA assembly by a need to fetch up onto my roof via an assembled by me scaffold, in order to access a leaky skylight window from the outside in attempt to seal/repair/make goodā¦ only to discover that some very angry wasps had taken up residence under a lifted tile just below said leaky windowā¦ 1 wasp nest destroyed and a lot of dead wasps and hopefully a repaired leaky window laterā¦ I only have one wasp sting to show for it, sadly it was right on my face (which did cause some quite genuine alarm when it was busy buzzing next to my eye and stabbing me with it's stinger to the point that my squealing and arm flailing almost caused me to fall off the bloody roofā¦) fortunately managed to avoid falling to a painful death and am not even slightly allergic or reactionary to wasp stings but in my flailing attempts to dislodge said bastard wasp I did hit myself in the head (with my hand) jolly hard and had a subsequent headache far worse than the wasp sting, so a couple of nurofen and a bit of a sulk later I decided I was too grumpy for hobby time and watched some tv instead.

Once I'm back home for the weekend I may despair at my weakness for picking up another 50+ Praetorians to add to the 250 already painted. Inspired by a Warlord Games Zulu War article, these may be painted Rifles green rather than as Redcoats.
The idea is to use them as Veterans attached to platoons in the same way the original 95th and 60th were during the Peninsula campaign.

Working on an old project, I was using 6 Razorbacks, all painted up nicely, metal and plastic kits. Then the new kits came out, at that moment I looked at my models and thought how absurd they looked compared to the new ones. So I sold the old ones at a game shop auction, then used the money for 6 new kits, that was several years ago. I have a wonderful wife now, she gave me a room for my own, so I am able to break out projects and work in stages. So, the kits are put together, and primered finally!
The finished Razorback is the final look l am going for. The Stormraven is nearly done.

I'm going to continue assembling and painting my catacomb command barge. I feel sorta intimidated by it, after seeing so many awesome models online, but I'm putting that in the back of my mind and going for it. It's my first larger painting project, and really only my second bigger assembly (the first being a Chaos Rhino, which is only primed)

I put together my Lord Commisar (actually a prefectus commisar) I really, really didn't like the look of him from the box image and only bought him because I was in a bind for a commisar for my IG allies and needed him for tomorrow. Putting the bolt pistol on made a world of difference, the plasma pistol just looks plain stupid!

Today I've planned to paint up a Plague Faction for Deadzone (part of a commission which includes the core set, terrain and a Rebs faction), and then it's playtesting BattleBones and starting work on our second game, an as yet untitied fantasy card game. If I've time I'll paint a couple more models for our upcoming Advanced Heroquest game ready in time for the club games night on Wednesday.
Busy day! AND there's Doctor Who tonight...
