You're right! Here's the new text on page 4:

Q. Picture this: My Grey Hunters unit including Ragnar Blackmane is assaulted and makes a successful Leadership test to Counter-attack. Do they then benefit from his Furious Charge ability (+1 S and +1 I)? Also, can the original assaulter then deploy defensive grenades to rob the Space Wolves of their Counter-attack bonus?

A. The Counter-attack special rule only confers the +1 assault bonus and no other advantages normally associated with assaulting. Therefore Ragnar’s unit does not benefit from Furious Charge. Also, we think it is a bit rich for an assaulting unit to get the bonus for attacking and defending, so no, defensive grenades cannot be used to negate the bonus attack from counterattacking.

I want to make T-shirts with a humpin' fox on them that say "Gwar! Was Right."

This is good news. 30 Termagants killing 8 Assault Marines or a ton of Orks before the chargers swing sounded a bit too good.

Hahahaha yes it was. Now the Gants just kill those Marines or Orks at the same time as they kill the Gants! At lest its a tradeoff now.

Well they won't kill quite as many now since they won't have the re-rolls to wound from poison against Marines (since they're S3 when charged not S4).

I'm pretty sure that Gwar was not the only person pointing out that the FAQ was in direct contradiction of the actual rules, indeed even in contradiction of the rules passage that it quoted.

Don't be ridiculous, if you ask any Gwar he will tell you that Gwar was the only one, holding out against the ignorant masses that follow FAQs, in the right all along!
