Hi, I just started an army of Space wolves.
I made a lord of some spare parts. The base is a CSM icon bearer, but I added a head and a bolter from the plastic SW box. I took an axehead from an old "white dwarf" model for a massive frostaxe. Finally I cut of bits of Wolf fur from the horrible pelt Lukas the trickster is supposed to wear.

What do you think?

Very nice conversion. The only niggly suggestion I'd make is to drill out the bolt pistol barrel. It's a little thing, but considering all the other work you did, it's a shame not to bring it all the way home.

Right Cygnus. Thats a good point. I havnt thought of doing the barrel on bolt guns or pistols before. A new mania, thank you very much

For the parts that you used that model looks really nice, i like the face paint. And i'm lovin the massive axe, that really is wolf-y to me.

I love it! Definately looks like a futuristic viking, keep up the good work!

The difference between commitment and involvement is like eggs and ham; the ckicken was "involved", the pig was "comitted".

@funksobeefy
The blue is a mix of "Imperial Blue" and "Bone White" from paint called "Game Color". Great paints they sell at my local gaming store; I dont know if they are common in other places.

@Ooiegoie
I love the Slain comic, and thats part of why I have tried to bring out a bit of Celtic feel to my Space Wolves (GW hint at this with names like Crom and vild hair-cuts, but its mostly vikings when it comes to the models)
