thinking about building a hive tyrant out of a carnifex with the body turned upside down and some green stuff on the head

I am looking for some more ideas and tips or if you have done something like that some pics of the model

Heck I'll kill a man in a fair fight, or if i think he's gonna start a fair fight, or if he bothers me, or if there's a woman involved, or if im getting paid, mostly when I'm getting paid

Here I found this video for you:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxJaD3BeXjo
It's not a step by step but it explains what he did.
You're probably going to need a fair bit of GS, and you'll have to make your own bonesword and lash whip.
Hope I helped.

I think the general concept of combat is that you don't wait for the enemy's permission to attack him.

You can find pictures of my unfinished one Here. One thing I would recommend if you want to flip around the thorax of the Fex is to cut off the back carapace, and turn it around so it stays right side up. The obviously upside down backs are a pet peeve of mine when I look at some conversions like this.

I think you should sprinkle some punctuation in your posts.

I like the wings on the Nazgul, but I'm not sure if they would work scale appropriately for a Harpy, especially as LOTR proportions are rather less exaggerated than 40K proportions.

Hmmm...Tyrant Legs with Carnifex upper body...I may have to steal this idea for my Swarmlord.

Not 100% on the carnifex head there. Nitpicking aside, that is a beautiful model.

Actually I think that's just the metal tyrant with plastic devourer arms, some extended carapace bitz and masterful use of epoxy.

I'm quite keen on using a Trygon as a conversion base for my plastic Tyrant, just to look a bit bigger than a fex (and coz I'm already converting fexes into Tervigons). Legs are a problem though, converting the plastic fex legs ain't fun. A snake-tailed Tyrant is tempting, but it would probably far look too much like a short Trygon... :(

Where did you find it?

The one you see in the picture is made by Gunstar.

It is still metal though (except for the devourers). The head is made by combining the crest of a Carnifex head with the extra armour bits on the Monstrous Arms sprue on the shaved head of a Tyrant.

Gunstar made a tutorial on the head on the Tyranid Hive:
