I have been converting these stormboyz from blackreach set. They basically have 9mm bullets on there back, with plasticard and green stuff. I had these in an old thread, but have moved them here cause them's the rules.

As you can see, everyone has head with goggles. Most these are from the blackreach deffkoptas, but some from the burna boyz. I have also given everyone greenstuff collars, inspired also by the kopta pilots and the new stormboyz. They also borrow the "stickbombs tied to everything" from the new stormboyz, as well as the spikes on their weapons. I might have to refine these a bit, at least put on rivets where they connect to the blade.

The last thing on the boyz is the ignition cable. This runs from the handle of their sluggas to the ignition packs on the rockets. I like to think the sluggas double as ignition switches, so they simply fire their weapons when they want to blast off. Or the mechanism is built into the handle somewhere, but that isn't quite as orky a concept is it?

Also look closely at the nob, and might be able to see how well endowed a pair on toxin sacs can make a nob.

In a couple weeks check back and see if I have painted them. Any suggestions for a color scheme would be appreciated. I might go with solid brown uniforms, because stormboyz are supposed to be pathologically regimented.

I love the gangster one with the slugga held sideways. And brown uniforms sounds like a good idea, I prefer orks in duller shades myself.

They look good, and seconded on the gansta Ork. But in the last pic, the Ork's arm appears to be broken.

I threw a little color on the boyz. Brown for most of their cloths (I still need highlighting), blue for the ignition wires, and gold for the jets. Not the obvious choice, but I'll see how it looks after some additional colors are added. I'm also gonna try and give my nob a german officer hat, like Zagstruk has. Those things are so cool.












I have 11 altogether, these are just a few. I look forwards to getting them done, I really think they are a competitive unit and use them all the time.
