here are a few homemade battlefleet gothic planets i made from styrofoam balls includeing lv 426 from aliens for a bit of fun, not only do they bring some 3d areas to you game board but they are so simple to make ........what do you all think ? any questions on how they are made ill do my best to awnser.......... i will be adding pics of my gameboard soon

Nice idea. Still, you could paint one half dark. Also would be good to see more colour in some of them.

that saturn idea was next on my list im going to be using a styrene ball the size of a tennis ball for that i just need to pay a trip to my local craft shop

moons can be any size saturn has 3 moons and one is the same siz as earth lol..... plus these are in the gothic sector so lol......but thx for the complement

Very similar to stuff my old club had for "Full Thrust" (another spaceship battles game).

We had these (styro balls, ftw) and starfields made with black fabric cloth splattered and streaked with paints (stars done with flicked paint, and nebulae done with spray paints in various colours.

i am acctually going to be purchaseing full thrust stuff soon they are really detailed and sooooooo cheap. lol. .....i will be posting the pictures of the gameboard tomorrow... and atm i am making 5 more planets including a sun and an astroid belt.. and thanks for the compliments people they are really nice

Volcanic rocks used for landscaping make excellent asteroids. Plus they're cheap!
