This is my proposed Tau colour scheme. I quite like it except I need some advice on the highlights, the orange doesn't quite do it for me. Yet I think something which contrasts with the blue and the grey will look good.

I havn't collected warhammer in about 14 months and starting up Tau and Tyranid armies at the same time is my first project. So yea, instead of that orange what would look good?

You could go with a rich yellow.

Love your color scheme. I think the orange in small amounts will match, but once you get on bigger models it might look a bit to much. But excellent look to the drone.Hopefully i did this right.i have never added pic's online before. Here is my Tau Scheme i am doing.

I agree with Breotan. A bright, neon yellow would go well with this scheme.
@Arrathon: Sorry for being off-topic, but how did you get the red looking like that? It's really bright!

In most instances the highlight will be applied to the grey areas. Two light colours wont contrast well, the orange looks alright in this pic because it was outside with lots of natural light, but usually it blends in with the grey too much.

I like the idea of a bright yellow, If I gave it dark highlights it might stand out better.

Thanks guys.
