Not sure if this should be posted to this board or not - but its a question about who first broke the news about the now infamous BA wondertoy. And even more so then who, what as the initial claim? My own recollection was that a model was sighted- though as we all well know, there is a glaring lack of a stormraven on the pre-order page. Were initial reports garbled, the claim was that the thing was sighted rules wise- or is it legitimate to suspect that a stormraven model is in the works for the near future?

I found out about the stormraven mid January, just as the Tyranid black boxes were being sent out.
I know at least 5 or 6 other dakkaites knew the same info by early feb.

At the time I was told it was 12 armour (not 14 later claimed) had the machine spirit rule and would carry a dread and a squad.

The current skullduggery aroud the watercooler is that stormraven will be done for either GKs or BTs, whichever is the earlier release.

Hmm, the fake codex and the stats in that was entirely the work of a person trying to drum up interest in their own reworked fandexes. What they did was start writing it, and then folded in names, units etc that they heard on the rumour "grapevine".

As to a Stormraven model..AFAIK, there will be one, whether that's sooner or later...

We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

From what I hear a Stormraven kit might see the light of day with the GK release as they are suppose to be able to use it as well.

This is just a rumour though.
