Goblin Launcha – 500 pts

Number of Crew: 3 per cannon
5 Cannons
Extra Cannon: 100 pts (max 5 extra)
Crew Equipment: Hand Weapon, Light Armor
May add an Orc Bully for 5 pts per cannon
Bomba's – for an additional 50 points the Goblin's that get shot out gain the KABOOM special rule.
Special Rules:
Launch 'em! – Shoot all cannons simultaneously. Artillery Dice. If Misfire:
1 – Cannon Destroyed.
2-4 Cannon Disabled for next two turns. Scraping out goblin remains.
5-6 Cannon Loaded with too much powder and goblin is fired with too much power. Draw LoS for 30”If it comes into contact with any unit during that line he immediately stops and does 2d6 S4 hits.
If the cannon functions properly. Roll 1d6.
1 – Goblin splats on the ground Roll Artillery and Scatter Dice. That is how far he traveled and the direction. If he landed on a enemy unit he does d6 S3 Wounds.
2-3 – Goblin Lands fine and Can Move next turn. Roll Artillery die and Scatter Die. Ignore Misfire and continue rolling until you show up with a number. That is how far he travels.
4-5 – Goblin Lands and can charge this turn.
6 – the Goblin Lands and can charge this turn. He also gains a +1 Attack, +1 S, +1 WS as the adrenaline pumps through him. Lasts until End of Next turn.

Special Rules:
Fear Elves
KABOOM (optional) The Goblins are Treated like Night Goblin Fanatics except they move 2d6+2 and have only one attack. When the Goblin makes base contact with an enemy consider him to of lit a bunch off explosives attached to himself within 2 inches of base contact (use Stone Thrower Template) Treat the explosion as a stone thrower attack with S6.
If more than 5 land in a turn they immediately count as skirmishers and attempt to move to be within the skirmisher rules.
this is just a rough draft. I'm thinking instead of having it wher eyou pay 50 points for the suicide bombers you can do so instead of skirmishers. i'm also thinking about using almost all of the fanatic Stat Line for the Regular goblins except str, movement and attacks.

I like the idea of them running into a unit and blowing up. the thought of Goblins with dynamite strapped to their chest is just made of awesome.

well the ones they launch are Goblin Skirmishers. I wanted them to be Elite Goblins though so they got a slightly higher stat line than the average Goblin. The Fanatic version is basicially a goblin with a bomb on his chest.
something i forgot to add was that you only roll the scatter and artillery dice once per turn. that is when you fire all the cannons. otherwise they wouldn't be able to be skirmishers, they would be solo units.
on another note i've always wondered why there is no naval combat in WHFB. not like how there is BFG but I mean Pirates and boats and stuff.

Very thematic. Definitely does not strike me as a shoe-horned in cheat. Nice rules too, not overly complex, but not so simplistic so as to ignore problem areas. Only issues I see is the basic goblin projectile had to be boosted to be competitive. Why not allow multiple goblins to be launched, thanks to a rope tying them together and use the baseline stats? Or simply make them all suicide bombers then? Also not sure about the cost, I wouldn't raise it any higher than 550 as frankly compared to the other legendaries its the least overpowered unit. But on the other hand 500 does seem a little cheap for this... Why not up the number of cannons? EDIT: Oh I see you can boost the number of cannons to 10 for a thousand points! That seems a little overpriced there though.

Also littlenibbler Orks aren't about armour saves.
Orks are about having too many models on the table, and wasting the other guy's time with your movement phase.
Orks are about having the toughest units on the table.
Orks are about not caring about how many bodies are left in a long winding trail until the squad is down to less than a third its starting strength.
Orks are about rolling more dice then you can count without the aid of a calculator or a pen and paper.
Orks are about having totally fething insane characters tearing gak down like Doc Grotsnik, Ghazghkull or Snikrot.
Orks are about being too fething awesome to die...

well yeah a thousand in total but not 1500 total. also my idea for boosting the goblin stats was "well these guys may survive and do this again so they eventually will be really powerful goblins" so i was thinking battle hardened goblins being launched out of the cannon.

Haven't the goblins that are smart enough to live long enough to count as "battle hardened" learned to avoid the cannons at all costs
I would think it would be the new recruits that were used as living ammunition... but perhaps tied to a cannonball on a chain, and so still doing tons of damage, but a la fanatics (out of control orcy madness, rather than any sort of strength or skill on their part  )

How about a little more customization on the goblins it can launch. Pick your "Ammunition"
Crazed Goblin Fanatic
Launches a goblin loaded with every explosive imaginable attached to his body. Roll like a normal cannon, if a misfire is roll pick the spot where he should have landed and place the large template over it. Any model (friend or Foe) directly under it takes an immediate S8 hit with no armor save allowed. Any model partially covered takes a S4 hit with no armor save allowed. If a misfire is not rolled the goblin lands and may charge 12" in any direction and explode at the end of the charge. Dealing damage the same way. This happens so fast the only reaction a unit can make to the charge is HOLD!
Small n' Wirey
The Crazed goblin fanatic can maneuver his way between the legs of other units. He may end his charge anywhere inside an enemy unit. Place the large template over where his charge ends, even if its in the middle of a unit.
Bits o dead gobbin!
Treat Bits o dead gobbin just like grapeshot, except any unit hit by the bits o dead gobbin loses 1I and 1Ld from being covered in liquefied goblin!
Shootin WAAGH!!!
A goblin seer is fired out of the cannon. On impact he explodes in a burst of WAAGH!!! Doing 2d6 S4 hits to all units (friend and foe) within 12 inches.

i'm contemplating keeping my cannon that came with BFSP and getting a few more just to do this idea. i think it would drive someone bonkers if this rule (and the other rules involving ginormous creatures and engines) were to actually be published.

What about firing an actually Night Goblin Fanatic?
Just having it as a one use only thing where all goblins fired are Fanatics. Giving you 5-10 Fanatics dropping in the middle of the opposing army.
