Earlier i went to GW in worcester and was looking around at the array of chaos models there were and was looking at the managers personal collection of word bearers so after a chat with the manager i decided for the umpteenth time this year i was going to start an army of word bearers, wahoo!!! I purchased the terminator captain for three reasons ...
1)He will probabley kick ass
2)i have read the novels and they rule (MARDUK)
3)As you may know my painting skill is a lot to be desired and it is a neat model to try my hand at (litterally and figuritivley)
so now i go away to take pictures of my almost finished piece to show

Looks pretty okay, even though I'm not a fan of the red part of the cape. However, my biggest issue is your choice of head - his face just looks bored, and doesn't really go along with that big gesture he's got with his claws.

Daemon eye like marduk(ie cat slit)? They also talk about their skin becoming translucent but I don't know how you might portray that aside from showing some veins. You might think about getting some discs of tzeentch and attaching them to his base as they are flying around him like a shield (dark apostle jarulek style) or model some smaller ones surrounding his head or something.

Love the word bearers and I hope to see more. I'm really into the possessed marines they have (ie burias the hope ender) and even though they aren't the favorite choice of most generals it might be cool to see some of those painted up.

Hmm Yeah sounds good although im pretty sure it was a tentacled or flying altar that jarulek flew in on with a mutation gun (awesom) .Any way i had an idea to make one but as to what kits to use im at an end he may have flown on a disk but it has been a while svcingce i read the book

He did have an "altar" he rode on , but he was also surrounded at medium range by large flying discs circling him like a living shield (that also ate anyone that got too close) and smaller discs that flew around him at close range. The larger ones rip apart a chimera I think so they're fairly large and the smaller ones shred any guard/etc that get close.
