Hey everyone! LazzurusMan here!

A couple of minutes ago i was on warseer and found a nice painting log about a guy and his goffs (See what i did there? ) and thought that i might as well have a go with mine. Seeing as they are no where near completion i should be able to keep this going for a while and learn some great tips and tricks off you guys

Here are some pics of my ONLY Finished models...Even then i don't thomk they're quite finished

This is my Nob (Don't laugh) from my 20 man (Ork) Boyz squad.

This is him again from the right, I'm not brilliant, but i think i did pretty well with the chequred pattern on the slugga.

This is the first (And only) Deffcopter that i have painted and based.

What do you all think of the Base? When i've got some spare cash I'm planning on buying some GW snow to add to all my bases.

And that concludes my log for today. Any tips, comments and help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking good, your chequering is smart.

You need to weather it all up though. Make things look aged, rusted, ill-kept. These are orks, they don't polish or wash stuff.

Take a look at the tutorials section for info on rust effects, washes etc.

With goffs, the easiest thing to do is prime them black first. Then basically your painting skin

I agree, you did the checks pretty decent enough, and those are pretty damn hard. I think if you wash the skin, and do as MGS said, youll be rocking. Welcome to the horde

I like them I agree with what MGS and KingCraker said about black primer and making things all rusty and grimy.

Checks are pretty hard. I am practicing for my Dark Karnival themed orks. This guy is a jesta.

Getting a model or two and just going nutz with designs is a cool way to practice.

I played against Wrexasaur's Eldar at my FLGS, and this guy's trukk mob totally destroyed an entire squad of Harlequins in a single combat. It was glorious/very, very, very lucky, considering the circumstances. In honor of that victory, I am painting the gitz with various jester patterns. Let me tell you what... Painting diamond checks around straps is a pain in the !!!

Looking very good! Keep on Rockin'!

After looking at the pics again, I have some more suggestions:
Drill out the barrels on that slugga and break up the silver of the engine on that kopta with some tin bitz.

Been playing and painting goff boys for about 15 years I love em! They take a bit of work to get right some times but that depends on what you want your end result to be. Because they are mostely black you need to make the skin look good and insure the checks and dags are the right size, too small and they way too hard to do and dont look right , too big and you cant get the effect of the scale. Mix red in where you can to break up the color and brown leather always works. Brown and black thinnned washes will give you the worn weathered look , and dont forget about paint chips and rust. They go a long way towards that battle worn, slapped together look the lads are famous for. Theres a link in my sig to my site if your interested in look at alot of Goffs, but heres a few pics of what I am talking about.

Thanks for all the tips guys.
I would love to do as MGS said but unfortunately I don't own the right paints, which is why all the silver looks polished.
As well as that i am hoping to buy a load of new paints and modelling supplies soon, allthough i can't get any GW modelling stuff or washes as my local model shop only sells the models and the old inks (And paints).
Anyone got any ideas how i can use the old inks to help?
Thanks again everyone, and i ope this thread help not only me, but anyone else who takes a look!

The old inks are great. Google "Future Floor Polish Washes" and you should be abel to find out out to make your own Washes that are nearly identical to GW's. It's going to sound strange at first but they work great once you make your own.
