Playing mostly as an orc I'm use to the KFF providing a 4+ save to vehicles. I'm starting to play around with SW and noticed that the Storm Caller says that it only provides a 5+ cover save to all units similar to the KFF but missing the part about a 4+ on vehicles. I'm guessing it's just a 5+ to vehicles unless it's been faq'd or errated that I'm missing. Is it just a 5+ cover save for everything?

No. Storm Caller doesn't affect vehicles.

In short, it gives the vehicle a cover save that can only be used against wounds.

A cover save is granted to vehicles unless an ability makes vehicles 'Obscured', in which case they gain a 4+ cover save. The ork codex specifically mentions this, which is why they get their save.

The stormcalled power gives all friendly SQUADS a 5+ cover save. Squads are defined non-vehicle units (im not 100% sure if this applies to units of MCs, but i cant find anything to say otherwise). Units of vehicles are called squadrons (you can have a unit only 1 model big). As a result stormcalled doesnt give a cover save to vehicles.

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live?

This query has been extensively debated in the three threads referred to by Gwar!

I suggest you read these threads to see what makes sense to you.

Since opinions are strongly divided, each thread had to be locked to save further argument.

As I am locking this thread now.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
