I won 1st place...didn't take pictures, so writing up a batrep seems like too much work for me, but in summary:

Game 1: v Space Marine Land Raider Spam.

Skulltaker, the Heralds, and Bloodcrushers (Hereby known as The Chester) dropped on turn 1 and landed right in the middle of my opponent's fire sack. I got the distance just right, and they were too far away for my opponent to be able to roll up and hit them with multiple templates from the redeemer. He decided to assault them with 13 terminators, who proceeded to get bounced quite handily. Skulltaker took apart Chaplain Cassius, and then I proceeded to take apart his army. The bloodcrushers started at one end, the soul grinders on the other, and killed his entire army by the end of turn 6. I also held all five objectives.

Game 2: v. Witchhunters.
Secondary came in first, with bad scatters, but my dice were forgiven after the changeling made a squad of retributors think that a squad of penitent engines were a bunch of big nasties. One volley of fire, and all 3 engines dropped. The Chester dropped on turn 2 and used the plaguebearers icon to land right in front of the sisters army. An insane number of sisters repentia charged in, along with the living saint. 3 Reppentias survived to run away, and the saint went down in another round of combat. Didn't table him, because the saint came back on turn 6 and hid.

Game 3: v. Ultramarines
Very tough game. Funny enough, the only other fully-painted army I faced all day (or at the tournament, I think).

Secondary came in first again, and I tempted him forward by placing bloodletters in a position where he could charge them with assault terminators. The terminators slaughtered the bloodletters, but my bloodletteres did manage to kill his librarian (counterassault moves let me stack 6 bloodletters on him). He used his massacre roll to pull his troops back a bit...and when The Chester arrived, they once again used the plaguebearers icon, this time assuming the exact same position that the bloodletters had previously occupied. He charged once again, with 15 assault terminators...and they bounced. Took three turns of assault to do, but I'd only lost 2 bloodcrushers (although several of the heralds were down to a single wound). Then proceeded to mop up his army, although he managed to avoid getting tabled. Massacre, with 23 kill points to 12.

Nicely done, Centurian99.

I think if we see more plastic kits come out for Daemons to mitigate their high cost, then we will see more of them on the board as they are such a solid army.

Named after the guy who convinced me to take a 12-man squad of bloodcrushers.

Hey, if someone can coin a stupid name like "leafblower", I reserve to right to name this combo.

Would that be Brad Chester? I have the same unit and it's rediculous.

Yep. He convinced me to try it at BashCon. Didn't work as well at 1850...not enough supporting units. But at 2500, its just silly good, and I can back it up properly with the rest of the army.

But "The Fortman" just doesn't have that same ring to it. How'd you do, Fred?
