Fast Attack
• Valkyrie Squadron (3x Valkyrie) - Rocket Pods, Heavy bolters - 360
• Vendetta- 130

I would split these up amongs the 3 FA slots. Squadroning is very dangerous to vehicles (especially AV12 skimmers). Something like:

x2 Vendetta
x2 Vendetta
x1 Valkyrie

or

x1 Vendetta
x1 Vendetta
x2 Valkyrie

or

x1 Vendetta
x1 Vendetta
x1 Vendetta

You really want the Vendettas over the Valkyries in your list.

hmm, i like to keep my armies WYSIWYG so i might keep the number of vendettas low so i don't have to order to many kits from FW or convert anything to much.. i'm workin on fixing the list now aswell, will post it soon.

Also, is there a way I can hide my stormy models in a veteran squad? I really love them and would hate to leave them out, so if I can get the models in my list I will be uber happy

Bump up the point value to 1750 or drop some points else where to get some better equipment on them or take 2 squads? I do like stormies a lot myself, but I just think another 1-2 vehicles would help make you vendetta/valkyries more survivable.

I see what you mean about dropping the plasma, I only Put them in 'cuz I thought you recommended it.

Plasma is good....if you take it on the CCS or Veterans. At 15 points a pop plasma is pricey so you want to make every shot count and the best way to do that is to be able to aim. BS3 platoon command squads just don't do that very well IMO. If anything if you do load 3 or 4 plasma in a squad you'll probably want them in a transport so they can get close enough to use it. A lot of armies will sit back and try to avoid them or just shoot them up. Guardsmen on foot are very squishy and the command squads don't have the extra wounds like veterans before they start loosing special weapons.

I mainly put the heavy weapons in because they come with the battle force (I was going to trAde the sentinel for another infantry squad) and I thought they would beef up the army.

They help you out a lot. But at T3 all it takes is on decent multilaser, scatter laser, brainleech devourer shot to kill most if not all of the squad and send them running. On average 1 chimera will kill 1 or 2 of them with it's multilaser (fewer if the heavy weapon are in cover). I've had 3 entire heavy weapons squads killed in one turn just because of instant-death weapons.

I'm not saying they are bad in any way. Just hide them in infantry squads or take at 3 or 4 of them.

Looks good, keep it that way.

Elite

Is there a reason why there are 6 in one squad? Keep them at 5 and don't give them transports. Let them deepstrike into the enemy.
Get three Stormtrooper squad of 5 guys and give everyone two plasmaguns.

Stormtroopers: 115
2 x plasma

Stormtroopers: 115
2 x plasma

Stormtroopers: 115
2 x plasma

Troops
• Veteran Squad – 2x Meltaguns, Shotguns, Grenadiers - Mounted in Valkyrie– 120
• Veteran Squad – 3x Grenade Launcher, Vox, Power Weapon, Demolitions - Mounted in Valkyrie – 125
• Veteran Squad – 2x Plasma Gun, Meltagun, Power Weapon - Mounted in Valkyrie – 120

Give each squad three meltaguns and shotguns. The valk is a good ride for them.

Infantry Platoon
• Platoon Command Squad – 4x Meltaguns - 70
• Infantry Squad – Meltagun, Vox, Lascannon - 85
• Infantry Squad - Meltagun, Power Weapon, Lascannon- 90
• Infantry Squad - Meltagun, Lascannon - 80

How about we change this a bit? They NEED a commissar, otherwise they run away as soon as possbile. The lascannon is quite useless and voxes need to be in pairs otherwise they won't work.

PCS: 65
vox, 3 x melta

IS: 120
meltagun, meltabombs, pw x 2, commissar
IS:75
meltagun,meltabombs, pw
IS: 80
meltagun, meltabombs, pw, vox

They need a priest, otherwise they still die.
so, Priest: 45

Dedicated Transports
Chimera Armoured Transport- Heavy Stubber – 65
Chimera Armoured Transport- Heavy Stubber - 65

No need for heavy stubbers. Skip these, saves you 20 points.

• Valkyrie Squadron (2x Valkyrie) – 1x Bolters, Rocket Pods - 270
• Vendetta Squadron (1x Vendetta) Bolters - 140
• Vendetta Squadron (1x Vendetta) Bolters - 140

Just keep the vendatta's and valk's bare. That is easier and cheaper.
Saves you 90 points.

TOTAL: 1650 points.
100 to spare.

Agreed on the 6-man squads. Drop them down to 5. Chimeras are good on them though. If you take Recon the squad confers the 'Scouts' USR on the transport which gives them a bunch of deployment options and shenanigans (Ex. Scout in the Chimera, Outflank in the Chimera. Deepstrike and leave the chimera on the board, deploy on the board but seperately, etc).

Behind Enemy Lines doesn't do as much since transports can't infiltrate, but at least they still gain the option to outflank. Pinning isn't really all that useful, though, so I'd stick to Recon or Airborne Assault (if you choose to deepstrike them)

For now, you don't need the codex yet, but when you are going to play regularly, you will need the codex.

Since the only way to "find them online" is to illegally download them, merely suggesting to do so could violate your TOS with Dakka...

To the OP: My suggestion is the buy a codex for your army from your LFGS, and when you are ready to play more competitively the codexes that your friends play. Also I started the hobby just like you, buying and scrapping up models I liked. If you play dark eldar you need transports. That's my only advice, since I don't know much about the army.

well, technically you don't need to download them

haha, my lizardman army is the same is a few skinks, saurus warriors, temple gaurd, a few heroes three HUGE ASS dinosaurs (tow carnosaurs and a stegadon) and a whole load of cavalry not very legit but it adds up to alot and if you came up against it in real ilfe, would you be worrying if the army was structered un fairly or that your gunna be owned by a bunch of dinosaurs if you dont GTFO? lol the first thing i bought from GW was the carnosaur, not because i thought it would do good for my army but because i thought "WOW LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT DINOSAUR!!!!"

but now that i have gotten my childish need of an awesome looking dinosaur army out of the way, i want a proper army that i can relate to real battles and events in modern history

Really can’t be screwed adding up the points now..... But some things I must add:

I will eventually pick up another Veteran squad, so when I do they will have a vendetta waiting.

I didn’t change all my vets to have Shotties because I’m using elysians for my vets, and instead of buying 6 lots of five men packs costing me $30 each, will get two five man packs for $30 each (just because i really love the shotty vets ) and two 10 man packs for $40 each, so you see i’m willing to give up shotties for the fact i will have to pay alot less out of my wallet .

I will add points later, but for now i’m assuming i have around 250 points left, so feel free to add any upgrades you feel necessary, but keep in mind any new units you think i should add will cost me MORE money, and i don’t like parting with money  (btw, i think i might take out a chimera, so that should give me a few more bucks to spend  )

off to bed now.... *yawn*
