These are some truly inspirational conversions! I'm only trying really basic kitbashes atm but I hope to follow your standard soon. Keep up the good work!

I've added a little bit of detail bits to the legs. Also added shoulder guards and drilled out the exhast stacks.

Just so every one knows, I'm imitating (imitation is the sincerest form of flattery ) Hits_the_spot's 'True Scale Dread' you can find his gallery here.

And here is an image of close to what I'm going for.
Spoiler:

Sadly I don't believe mine will make it to the originals quality.

So I'm a little closer to having this guy finished. I'm scratch building some auto cannons to put under the arms for a Psyrifle Dread but unfortunately I need to buy some more styrene to finish them.

Let me know how you think it's going.

I needed a break from cutting and gluing the Dreadnought so I decided to paint some Terminators that I already built and primed. I decided to try out something I've been thinking about for a while. Had someone suggest this earlier in this blog. I basically painted white over the eyes andink washed a diluted cobalt blue wash. Then I tried it on the hammer and I think I'll keep it as I like the results.

I'm getting closer to finishing this task Dreadnought off. I'm currentlybuilding the autocannons for under the arms.

I like the mod! but i think it looks a little... skinny? flimsy? i think it needs some re-inforcement to the legs to beef it up a bit.

I've finished the modeling cutting and modifying bits and peaces. I've added an inquisitorial crest to the top, and put some hydraulics to the back of the legs to beef them up a bit.

I'm trying something different on the paint, trying to get a greasy old feel without rust. Let me know what you guys think.

Nice! I like that you left most of it as bare metal, it looks really neat. I also love the way the metal looks.

So I'm going to try something a little bit different for my next kitbash.

A Quad Legged Psyrifleman Dreadnought.

I'm going to use a Venerable Hull, Aegis Quad Guns for Autocannons, and two sets of Sentinel legs for the quad walker. Just waiting for the bits.

Here is the base structure of the quad legged Dreadnought.

I think that this Dreadnought is going to be on loan from the Adeptus Mechanicus to the Grey Knights, that way I can go totally crazy with it.

Saw this on the Gallery, certainly a unique approach. It makes him look more stocky, which is bada** IMO.

Maybe I'm really blind or thick but what is the bulbous shape below his torso? It looks somewhat at odds with the rest of the model which is very sharp and blocky.
Just looks sort of strange to me.

Maybe you have future plans for it though?

I was intending for it to be bit of armor, but if it doesn't carry that feel them out has to go.

Yay, new big project for me, But before I show off the project here is the finished quad leg dread.

And here is the new project
Imperial Knight Atrapos!

First thing I did after building is to prime it black then base coat a rusty brown and orange. Then Chipping medium.

Time for paint. I chose a tan for the armor bits and metallic for the rest.

Water and a stippling brush to chip off the paint to show the rust underneath.

Added a highlight to the paint on the armor around the rust. On a side note most of the pics are not taken using the best lighting, this was taken in sunlight and shows the proper color of the tan, it really isn't as yellow as most of the pics show.

Now to where I am currently. Added the metallic paint for the trim and did a copper for the top plates on the carapace. Also started adding a oily wash to the legs and hips and applying grime streaking.

What do you think?

Excellent work on the Knight.

I really like all your conversions too, really characterful stuff. I especially like the quad leg walker.
