Most Weird West is steampunk with a side of gunslinger. I know Rail Wars and the subsequent RPG were. It doesnt have the European Victorian period setting, but same-same in terms of psuedo-technology.

With that said, there are a couple of Savage Worlds rule sets which have trimmed away the RPG to create a pretty solid skirmish game. Not too hard either when you consider that the RPG rules were built on the previous skirmish rules.

I've got to have that angel. Do they have a specific release date in November, or is it just... November sometime
Edit: Actually, not all of those will be released in November.
has a March release for example. (The angel is still november though)

Love that dwarf mini.

Really happy to see some 'reak ' models being released.

Long live metal!

~Tim?

obviously its a treevern, a very rare and deadly plant

Actually, my horticultural encyclopedia names it a "Wyverchid", a rare form of orchid pollinated by wyverns. The apparent "wyver with a log up his cloaca" is actually the flower, evolved to look like a female wyvern ripe for mating. The male wyvern flies down, rubs around awkwardly while accumulating pollen, then flies off while his friends make fun of him. Subsequently the next wyverchid is pollinated by his now more aggressive, "I'll show them!" need to reproduce.

And thus the great circle of life continues.

Had almost forgotten about this...

He sculpted the wyvern and iron cobra as well as a previous special release figure for Reaper. There are more pictures of all of them on his site.

The tree trunk still looks odd from most angles, but it looks like using a different object should be pretty easy to avoid the "Wyvern...on a stick" situation.

That Wyvern would probably work well in the Bones material. Since it'd be easy to remove the tree trunk and mount it on some wire or some kind of flight stand. (Which the weight of metal would make problematic).

Thank you all for the kind words, as some pointed out I did leave out a few, mostly because I had nothing to say. But since when did that stop anyone on the internet?

Here we see another classic D&D monster, IIRC this is called a Hook Horror.

Not only can Grimm Grayrune serve as a dwarf priest in your campaign, he can also serve as a human priest who lost his shins in a tragic threshing accident.

No known relation with Mr Grimm.

Brett here can serve as a homosexual cowboy wearing chaps and sporting a pron mustache, or as a heterosexual cowboy who happens to be wearing chaps and have a porn mustache.

Max here is one of the most versitile miniatures around. He can be a private eye looking for a dame, or a gumshoe hunting for a doll, or even a flatfoot seeking a broad.

With some conversion work he can also be a flasher.

Question about the dragon: Is that supposed to be a baby dragon,
an out of scale adult dragon, or is it a full dragon that simply looks
small in the pic?

Sweet, I now have all the minis I'll ever need for my female half-elf monk army!

I might wait until she gets converted to Bones before buying, though.

For aeons the Merciful Matriarchy of Martial arts Monks (Medeo-Elf Chapter) has recruited half-elven women from the thousands of abandoned children found on the border between the Elven Woods and the Human Lands. These girls, products of the unions between lusty wood elves and naive farm boys and farm girls are alas too plentiful. Male half elves are generally raised by the Benevolent Brotherhood of Boisterous Bards (Bastard-Elf Chapter).

Great stuff! Especially the headliner steampunk gal. Hey, maybe you reaper fans can help me out - I thought Reaper had a musketeer or two, but for the life of me I can't find them. Apparently, Musketeer is neither a race nor a class.

Try searching musketeer or musket. Two or three popped up for me.

There's a couple references in the Rippers setting* that tie it to the Deadlands setting, but they may be intended more as easter eggs than canon ties. I believe there's a character with what appears to be a gatling pistol (an iconic weapon of the Deadlands local equivalent of the Men in Black) and maybe a couple others...

* Rippers is victorian-ish horror with the hook that the 'good guys' have learned to extarct and graft bits from the monsters to upgrade heros, albeit at a price.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.
Play the games that make you happy.

In my experience, weird west tends to not be as slick or fancy as a more Victorian edged steampunk.

Ahhh! Its a tree trunk!

At a quick glance, it looks like he's trailing a giant column of poo...

Other than the Wyvern, which is dire, these are crackers. Some lovely sculpts.

Heavy metal! Or no metal at all!

Every time someone on the board disses metal I'm going to put up that song.

It's one of the top ten metal songs of all time, but it's not just heavy metal. It's classic heavy metal. And that's awesome.

Finally found my quote from a gym buddy born and raised in South Korea:
"It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press.
"It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
"It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.
"It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag."

Indeed, that thing is fantastically bad. Like I would expect to find it in a tube of other rubber monsters bad.

They already had a decent wyvern... they shoudl have just used the money spent sculpting/molding that stinker to turn this guy into Bones...

In addition, orders over $65 will receive a Mr. Bones Holiday Stocking while supplies last. I don't have a picture handy, but these suckers have a random assortment of 10+ Bones miniatures stuffed inside them. Impressive.

We're also re-releasing Jason Wiebe's Santa Dwarf miniature. This Special Edition miniature will only be available during our 12 Days of Reaper promotion. On December 17, Santa Dwarf will fly back to his Toy Shoppe/Brewery and will not return again until next year. 01525 Santa Dwarf is $10.

Happy Holidays!
