Nice find, Ancestral Hamster, although they're missing a lot of the models (most of the Shadowsea ones just got re-made in the last campaign, right?). And the one I would have insta-bought is also sold out, darn

In the final 3 days, and at 65% funded. If you were on the fence, now is the time to pledge. Remember, you aren't charged until the end, so there's little point in waiting if you think you're interested!

Also they've added a few stretch goals, including this pretty sweet piece. For those who havent been in an Antimatter kickstarter before, they also unlock miniatures after the campaign ends, based on additional pledge manager add ons, so there's a chance we might see this guy before the next round!

I LOVE that miniature!

And I'm SHOCKED that his hasn't funded!

I think the miniatures are great, and I love the game system - at least the DeepWars one, and I imagine that this one is based on SOBH too, right?

Don't forget the newer, updated version of Kalath that they're working on.

Supposedly that base will be around 40mm or so, making it more game legal than a big honking scenic base.

I like the fact that the dino's head is getting tilted at a different angle to better facilitate Kalath hacking his enemies to pieces.

Hopefully this funds and we can see another mini kicker for the draconids a few months down the line.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

$18K to get that mini, Kalath the Reaver, unlocked?

That doesn't seem likely now...

They normally do a website based add on campaign afterwards, which has added other minis in the past. Also, if this gets funded, it still moves the triceratops mounted dragon man up in the "to do" list.

Yes, they are, and only that one Draconic Legion figure for Shadowsea. No Deepwars rule book either. What was your insta-buy?

Yes, Shadowsea is SOBH-based, and the two games are compatible.

And yes, it does not look like it will be funded after all. However, I wrote a thank you note once they fixed the shipping error with my Shadowsea rulebook from the previous KS and some comments about the mini-kicker. Eric replied that even if this one fails, he'll reassess what the base is buying and launch new project. So there is still hope!

It was the Nautiloid Crysalid here. I have one from their last campaign, but probably will be looking for another at some point

http://antimatter-games.com/products-page/miniatures/deepwars/dark_mariners/nautiloid_chrysalid/

I think this campaign is struggling because it seems geared towards existing fans adding to their collections, and so is harder to get new people into. Add to that that existing fans just received their rewards from the last campaign. You can select starter sets here, but overall the selection on the last campaign was a lot larger (at least, from browsing the new campaign page this is the impression I get). They might have offered TOO much selection on the last one, opening up a lot of miniatures they had bought back the rights to from another company:

AntiMatter Games successfully launched ShadowSea this month, a massive undertaking since we had purchased the entire Dragonblood miniatures line midway during the Kickstarter and included that line in the rewards.

So, offering all of those minis had to have a cost associated with it, but at the same time made that campaign more attractive... which is why I jumped on through their website after the fact on that one.

I wouldn't give up hope *just* yet. The total has been ticking up, and things haven't hit the 48 hour mark yet. This could scrape by in the end. After watching Mierce's stuff start blowing up in the end, who knows?

If it doesn't fund, I hope Eric shoots for doing Kalath and his draconid buddies, as I'd imagine there's a pretty reasonable crowd of like minded people who are always looking for more reptiles.

Myself included naturally.

The Nautiloid Crysalid is a nice one. At the moment, I'm trying for Deepwars/Shadowsea crossovers so I bought various Amphibious Deep Mariners and two Ancients. Not interested in units with the Marine ability no matter how beautiful.

True, but this was supposed to be a mini-KS just geared towards getting the Draconid Legion starter funded as opposed to a full product line relaunch. The selection is naturally limited by comparison. You do make a good point that perhaps AMG started a new KS (mini or otherwise) too soon afte rfullfillment of the previous one. Backers might be sated at the moment.

Hopefully you are right. The Draconids are fine sculpts and normally I'd go for them, but in this universe the Dark Mariners, Ancients, and Axibalans interest me more. What are the bases sizes on the Draconids? Could one use them as character models in WHFB?

Down to 43 hours now but still needs a bit more to reach funding. I'm in at the highest pledge level; it's actually a really good deal with all the free points thrown in and I was extremely pleased with the haul I received last week from the previous KS.

Check it out people, every little bit of support helps, I suspect it might turn into a real nail biter towards the end!

I'd say the lizards themselves would fit well with WHFB. Coatlaxi the Lizardman Lord is quite big, standing taller than a cold one and its rider. Even has a bit of the South American style going on with his gear.
You could probably even toss in a few Axibalan as lizard sympathizers/ conscripts/ slaves/ whatever.

Coatlaxi is on a 40mm, the other lizards all sit on a 30mm base.

At this point, it's just 30 more backers and 3,000 dollars until this thing funds. It just might happen! I really hope it does!

That Pik-Kck figure is great. Don't see enough insect races around.

Nothing else I really like, though.

Just to make sure, but you know that almost the entire Deep Wars line is available here, right? And that you can trade everything included in the pledge levels?

I got the Giant Anglerfish in the last KS (such a fun mini!), and this time I'll be trading to get the Deep Wars hardcover book at least, perhaps a few more other DW items.

Is it really? I mentioned the Nautiloid Chrysalid above; I got one for three points in the last campaign, but could use another at some point. Will watch this and see how close it is at the end, hopefully it doesn't need me as pledging was a bit expensive this past month...

$1400 needed to fund in two hours! What would I need to pledge to get the model I mentioned in the post above?

Hope this makes it!

The Nautiloid Chrysalid is worth 3 points, or can be added on for $24. I think probably your best bet would be to pledge at the $35 Warband level. That gives you a starter set, which can be traded in for 4 points, so you'll have an extra point to get a little something extra for as well (otherwise you can pledge at the $15 Basic level, giving you 1 point, but then you'll have to add on the full $24).

If we do manage to reach 100 backers, everyone pledging $50+ gets an extra point; that might be something to keep in mind too. Hope you decide to jump in!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
If you are looking to land over $50 the $55 ShadowSea Adventurer level is actually a good choice; the softcover book and printed tiles can be traded in for 3 points each, netting you a total of 6 points (the $50 Captain level is kind of more restricted as I don't think you can trade away the PDF's).

Oh, and did you back the previous KS at $50 or more? That would get you 1 free point here as well.

Okay, backed! 90 minutes to go, hope it makes it.

I backed the last campaign on the website after the fact, not sure if that counts. Going to be a close finish here!

Awesome! Yeah, still $1,300 to gather up in just little more than an hour, if it makes it it'll be a real close shave I'm guessing.

Yeah, looks like that last 1k may be lacking. Have they said what they'll do if it doesn't fund?

I think he mentioned maybe restarting with a focus on the Draconids, perhaps with that triceratops-riding warlord as one of the initial goals. He talked about it in update #3. That'll probably be alright, but I still feel bad for Eric; I bet he put in a lot of work on this one and I wished it would have funded.

This is the closest unsuccessful campaign I've seen. Ended just $655 short out of 10k. This happened to them once before, though, and they bounced back. Hoping for the same here!

Yup, hope they come back stronger and better! I think they might, actually; focusing on the minis for the existing games instead of the Stygian Depths supplement will probably be a good idea.
