God this game just reeks of potential! I'm going to have to delve in deeper. Odd question I know, but is there any potential for additional factions? I mean, obviously this is based on War of the Worlds, but I didn't know if the creators could tap...well, maybe the other worlds in the Solar System for some more crazy aliens to make war on Earth.

If I recall correctly, there was discussion during the KS about doing aliens from Venus at some point.

I think there was talk of a morlock race as well.

As the game progresses new background books will add factions and units, bit like how Privateer advances their fluff and adds units, actual rules will also always be free from the site though the main rulebook will not (currently).

Backed the KS but despite being 7 months late backers are still missing anywhere between a quarter to three quarters of their pledge and it's been over a month since we had an update, with Alien Dungeon ignoring questions about when it will ship. Many of the bigger and expensive units have nit been shown beyond artwork even though backers were told these were complete in January.....

I received most of my $360 Pledge and don't mind waiting a bit for the rest. Mostly because this is new country for them and what I have received is fantastic. If they are planning to go to GenCon, which I'm sure they are, the communication can slide for a bit.

You want to talk about late and lack of communication? Let's have a chat about the $1000 pledge I'm waiting on from Robotech.

I will continue to give my money to AQotMF over many other companies any day.

Didn't mind the wait as we got so much plastic that wasn't originally going to be plastic, and they had to switch plastic manufacturers. I'm also quite pleased that everything is made in the USA.

Actually I think all the new units were on display at Historicon. The British stuff looked exceptional, and the new crazy tripods were fantastic. Oh and the US artillery was as big and beefy as one might expect.
Also chatted with Ernie, poor guy has gone almost entirely gray since last year, haha.

Still overall very pleased with the several hundred bucks I threw at the KS.

Yup, the British Expeditionary Force as the next human faction, and Venus as the next alien faction.
