Well after all the reviews I am sold. KR will get my money*

I just wanted to know if it could take being transported cause I am moving out of the states back to the great white north later in the year and was not sure how putting it in a moving van would be handled. I do not plan to stand on it just for fun so I do not worry that it may not be able to take a human standing on it. I think I will go for pluck foam for malifaux as there really are a lot of odd shaped models.

Question:

I can't tell from the pictures, but will the Backpack2 fit 2 KRQ and a KRX?

Looks to me like it might be two separate sides for a single case, but if the internal compartment is open, then I think I could get a KRX plus 2 KRQ's (side by side) in there.
I doubt it would work.
The spaces in the Backpack2 are designed for original sized cases.
So, until an official answer arrives, I'd give it as No.

But, the Kaiser cases will. There are usually no partitions in them.

The Backpack2 has a divider so it will hold 2x KRM (or combinations of KRH and KRQ), but not the KRX or KRD.

Update on dispatch times. Due to higher than anticipated demand we are dispatching within 3 days rather than next day as is usual for us. Apologies for the slight delay, we will upgrade postage where we can to minimise the delay in your order getting to you. This applies to orders shipped from both the UK and the US factories.

In addition, we have received many more emails than usual over that past couple of weeks regarding Zombicide custom trays and so will be adding trays specifically for that game (and similar genre) tomorrow for inclusion on the offer on the 3 new cases. Those trays will be available to ship by 20th April.

Unfortunately we were not able to complete the upload for Zombicide trays today so we will have to complete that tomorrow. Apologies to those waiting for them, but they will be worth it when you see them!

OK maybe Im just an idiot but Im having a tough time figuring out how to fill one of the 1.5 size cases with core foam. There doesnt seem to be the option to choose the 0.5 layer so i can then select the case.. Can anyone point me right?

head for this page - https://www.krmulticase.com/bespoke.aspx?type=C&case=KRX. Then just type in the trays (or sets you want), eg a half set would comprise 2x N4T trays (for 80 figures) for example) - or if uncertain drop us an email. Either way we will check the case is full and if there is any room make suggestion for the best trays for you by email,

Not overly worried about under filling it, its over filling Im worried about. Ive given it a shot and we'll see I suppose. Ill be honest, the site is not overly clear or easy to understand.

Don't feel sad, I'm absolutely terrible at using the site, but my pet chemist can whip through an order in minutes.
I'm sat here scratching my head at what I need for obscurely sized vehicles.

Pete Melvin - Much appreciated, any issues and we will get back to you by email. The website is being worked on to make improvements, we have grown so much over the past 3 years since we launched that site we have simply outgrown it. The updates will make it easier to use and have some additional features added to to help.

Buttery Commissar - As above we are working on improvements, but for obscurely size vehicles try the V5H and V1H they are pick&pluck and very versatile, or simply email us your army list, we get 20+ llists most days and get through them usually with 1-2 working days,

No no, I'm fairly sure it's no fault of your site, I am just really arse-backwards when it comes to this sort of thing. Love my case to bits, and your customer service (to me and my chemist), but I've held off on sorting the innards out for almost a year because I don't know what I'm doing.

Aces! I'll run a tape measure around my vehicles and send you a scrap-doodle over, I'm certain they're do-able, they just have moving parts and urgh-factor.

Must admit I got a bit frustrated trying to fill 2 of the 1.5 sized boxes just as I wanted so plumped for the doubles instead as it was just easier. Let's just say I'm going to be Ok moving a Storm Ravens, Knights, drop pods, land raider and a few rhino hulls...

Definitely a good product you guys have!

Buttery Commissar - no worries, but the improvement will help out I think. In the meantime use this page to printout the trays - effectively a "try before you buy" option, you can sit you model on the printout and workout what is best for it, https://www.krmulticase.com/resources/trayprintouts.aspx

SolentSanguine - as mentioned above, the site improvements I have in mind will help out, but getting the double cases does no harm at all, I am sure you (like many others) have enough models to fill them.

Glad you both like our cases and trays, it is always nice to hear that our designs meet gamers needs so well.

In short: Yes.

In long: Probably as eventually you will need them unless you have amazing self control with your hobbying. Assuming you are like 95% of the population you will need more cases!

Zombicide - As promised here are the pics and sets for the Zombicide game.

Based on the increased number of requests and suggested layouts that we have received recently, we have designed them to match with the KR modular tray and case system for gamers who play Zombicide or any Zombie themed games, There are 3 custom trays for the game contents:

ZC1 – A strong outer card tray to hold 9 game boards, plus a foam insert for car tokens, small tokens and cards. This tray is manufactured from the combination of card and foam as a foam tray by itself would never be able to carry the game boards. This tray needs to be removable from the box, and capable of being used as on its own for unpacking and packing away the game - especially when you have multiple seasons or expansions and their boards!

ZC2 - Identity cards plus 7 figures.

ZC3 - Large tokens, small tokens, 14 figures plus 1 Abomination.

Plus the M3H or M4H to carry 25 figures (standard and fatties). Abominations need 2 compartments.

You can add these to your Launch Offer, just state which set you want when ordering on the website.

KRX case with ZCIDE-Set 2 carries 1 season plus 1 expansion (122 figures, 18 boards)

KRD case with ZCIDE-Set 3 carries 2 seasons (or 1 season plus 2 expansions) (197 figures, 18 boards)

2x KRX cases ZCIDE-Set 4 carries 2 seasons plus 2 expansions (337 figures, 27 boards)

2x KRD case with ZCIDE-Set 5 carries 3 seasons plus 2 expansions) (452 figures, 36 boards)

If you want alternative tray arrangements in your case just let us know when ordering.

All will be available to ship by end of April, or if you want to pick them up at Salute 2015 just let us know and we will have them at our stand for you!

Remember the KR Launch Offer is Buy 1 get 1 free so if you want Set 5 for example you will get 2 KRD cases plus the trays for just £49.99 (UK), see full T&C on the KR home page at https://www.krmulticase.com – buy before end 17th April to get the launch offer!

Tray images show usage, the contents are not included in any sets or cases, KR only sell the cases and trays.

This thread here can serve as the 'ongoing KR News and Rumors' thread going forward.

Thanks!

This week we launched three new cases to join the KR card case range alongside the ubiquitous KRM and KRH cases.

The standard card case, the KRM, has been with us since KR began, and the half size case (KRH) joined a few years ago. The 3 new cases added this week provide you with the ideal expansion of the modular transport system that KR provides.

And because the KR System is completely modular these new cases simply interchange within your current Kaiser Transport Bags, Backpacks, K-Lite or Wheeled Aluminium cases.

No need to buy new transport bags, just use your current ones! Storage and transport made simple by KR.

Spot the naming convention for these 3 new cases based on their size :-)

The KRQ is a Quarter size case (1/2 width, 1/2 height version of a standard case) making it ideal for Skirmish and Sports games such as Guild Ball, Blood Bowl and Dreadball, or even for board games with only a few pieces. See the KRQ here http://www.krmulticase.com/product.aspx?id=KRQ&t=case

The KRX is an eXtra height version of the standard case, so you can fit another pair of half width 51mm trays inside, or those extra infantry that you wanted! See the KRX here http://www.krmulticase.com/product.aspx?id=KRX&t=case

The KRD is a Double depth variant of the standard case, with loads of space for your models. Carry those large models with ease using double height trays. See the KRD here http://www.krmulticase.com/product.aspx?id=KRD&t=case

We want all our customers to join in and celebrate KR providing the best & most versatile system for miniature figure storage & transport and so we are giving away FREE cases!

To get a free case, take advantage of this limited offer to “Buy One Get One Free”. Simply buy any of the 3 new card cases (KRD, KRX , KRQ) and you will get an second card case the same size, including trays completely FREE ! The free case will appear at the checkout, just let us know which trays to put in there – choose from any of our range of Core, Custom and even Colour trays.

This offer is also available at participating local (bricks & mortar) Gaming Stores - ask at yours when you are next in.

The launch offer runs until the 17th April.

Full terms and conditions are on the KR homepage http://www.krmulticase.com

When ordering Zombicide set 4 or set 5 it is best to do the following as the website has not yet caught up with these 3 and 4 KRU size sets. It will catch up next week all being well.

To order Zomicide set 4
use this link https://www.krmulticase.com/bespoke.aspx?type=L&system=KST&army=KSZC and just enter "Zombicide set 4 - it fills both KRX cases!" head to checkout and paste "see KRX case 1 !" and all will be fine,

To order Zomicide set 5
use this link https://www.krmulticase.com/bespoke.aspx?type=L&system=KST&army=KSZC and just enter "Zombicide set 5 - it fills both KRD cases!" head to checkout and paste "see KRD case 1 !" and all will be fine,

Ensure you click "select case" for either the KRX or KRD.

38 orders since posting the news at the weekend highlighted this slight issue,

Glad to see that Zombicide player can now get ideal cases and trays for their collections,

You guys should consider doing a set for Cthulhu Wars. I know Petersen Games said they are willing to work with companies to get a foam set up made in this thread. The idea was pitched to Mantis Creations, but they will need another kickstarter to do it, and shipping to the US on their products is pretty high. Plus you might be able to get set up to do cases for their future miniature games, like Orcs Must Die! and at least one more miniature heavy kickstarter that will need a storage and transportation solution.

Cthulhu Wars is on our list too, and will be out in May all being well. There is some advantage to not needing to do a Kickstarter to get a product out to Gamers as it does mean that we ship in the longest scenario within 3 weeks to customers. Or am I missing the point? Is a Kickstarter simply an accepted method of pre-ordering a new product? If KR did a Kickstarter for Cthulhu Wars Custom Trays it would seem strange as it is then just a pre-order system?

Any thoughts appreciated.

It depends on how things work out to the build up but as the way things are developing it seems I won't need to do one.

I don't think kickstarter is necessary if you don't need the money to fund the project. The only benefit to the customer from kickstarters is if they get a significantly better than normal deal because they fronted the money necessary to make the product before it has been produced.

Some customers will be looking for custom cases just for the Cthulhu Wars base set, but a lot will be wanting cases that will hold the base game plus all the expansions and stretch goal reward models that will be shipping this summer. So you may have to contact Petersen Games to figure out what is needed to fit all those expansion pieces.

Karazax - many thanks for the view. I will tend towards just making the best trays and cases and do our traditional great value launch offers, which in essence are always at least as good as a Kickstarter but without the wait.

I will chat to Peterson games re Cthulhu Wars sets tomorrow. Lots of fun to be had !

I have a Stormwall that I want to stand up in one. Which pick and pluck would I need? Would be perfect to have that down one side and then troops down the other but again, I suck.
