But they'd effectively become weaker. ;-)

Still, there's always some reason to fight. The Blood Angels could be berserking and someone has to stop them. Or maybe the GK are looking a bit too closely into the instances where BA have run into daemons and someone has to stop them...

I suppose there's also the big downside to being a secret chapter of Space Marines, when Blood Angels run into these guys and they're not from any chapter that the Blood Angels have heard existing, their first thought probably goes to "these guys must be Chaos Marines trying to infiltrate the Imperium."

Blood Angels are one of the more people-friendly Armies of the Imperium. Grey Knights...are not. It is possible that the GK let a few too many citizens die as collateral damage and the BA had enough of it. This has happened with the Space Wolves(another people-friendly AoI) and Grey Knights and it resulted in Logan cutting down the GK Grand Master or whatevernot.

The IoM is VERY fractured and while some chapters work together to fight a common goal there is a lot of distrust born from constant wars. When the Emperor led the Crusade each Legion had rivalry and worked together (sometimes bickering) but as a family. That dream is dead and the betrayal was so harsh that the chapters never recovered. As such there are acts of hostility between encounters. As a general rule the IoM will work against a common threat but it is with reluctance. The Inquisition responds to none save the Emperor and the Astartes fall under no jurisdiction (directly) they can still be sanctioned. It is entirely possible for an inquisitor to provoke a company master or a chapter into hostilities. This has happened before between the Inquisition and the Space wolves.

TL;DR - Factions within the IoM will conflict and fight each other but should unite under common threat.

THATS WHY GK AND BA WERE FIGHTING

No, no, no. We fight the Space wolves because of the Twilight series, We fight the Grey Knight because of 50 Shades of Grey. They pretend to be paragons of virtue, but in reality they are all Warpdust snorting perverts.

It was probably cause the Blood Angels did their job and protected people from Chaos and Daemons, but because 1 BA saw a daemon the GK have to come and purge them all.

Because the Grey Knights are idiots that think just seeing a daemon makes you corruptible.

Given the reasons the Space Wolves fought the Grey Knights that one time, the reason is probably that the Grey Knights were doing something unreasonably reprehensible even by Imperium standards. Again.

Actually, an inquisitor was doing reprehensible stuff, so grimnar attacked them and the inquisition fought with them. The Grey Knights sent a peace envoy to try and reason with them, but Grimnar murdered the envoy. Eventually, the GKs and inquisition allowed grimnar to kill the inqusitor to settle the matter, and the GKs did not take insult because they regretted being involved with said inquisitor and that a GK vs SW war would only harm the Imperium.

Except... that's not stupid at all, and seeing a daemon DOES make you vulnerable to corruption, on account of the madness it inflicts.

Umm... considering in the old fluff, the Grey Knights were such a secretive order, that if any other imperials saw them at work... they had to wipe them out to keep the inquisition secret. Any Space Marine or Guardsman would be wise to start fighting the Grey KNights when they arrive if they want to see tomorrow.

Yeah I'm going to cry bull on the fact Cadia would of been wiped off the galaxy map by the Imperium, since they take on the brunt of the daemon and chaos forces and do not go mad. And there is fluff upon fluff of Space Marines and IG beating Chaos and not going to the luneybin. Grey Knights are misguided idiotic cowardly zealots.

Because people are food. I don't understand why the Grey Knights can't see that!

Shoot, we even offered to share some of our drinks. They totes snubbed us for it too. Psssh.

Blood angels would fight grey knights because in the grim darkness of the far future there is only war.

Its actualy quite simple, Cotez ate commanders dantes sandwige infront of him, causing dante to go berzerk attacking cortez, so he saw this as a offence to the grey knights, so they fought each other.

Even Cadia rarely sees daemons. The mortal forces of Chaos, sure. They see those all the time, but daemons? Only very rarely.

How often do actual daemons appear in those fluff pieces? Very, very rarely, and bad things generally happen to the survivors.
