It is an open-topped transport, so yes, it is an assault vehicle - more importantly, occupants can fire from any point on the vehicle.

To be a bit more realistic, you don't want boyz etc in it when it crash and burns. Crash and burn makes their passengers jealous of being in an exploding trukk. Any anti air gun will have no problem to shoot those 10AV 2hp's down in a single. And you can't put mega armour in it.

Not that this would stop me from trying to pull a bbq flyer off in regular games when FW clears up the confusion.

If it's now a flyer then giving it attack fighter is another Ork nerf.

How is that a nerf. Attack fighter is able to shoot at ground stuff right. Its weapon is only S4 why would you shoot at flyers with that ?

It would be awesome, but we'll never likely see it. Hollowed out asteroids with random structures on them are way too easy to scratch build, and would be way to expensive to produce in resin.

GW is likely to do what they did with the Tyranid Mycetic spores and Tyrannocytes and turn them into something simlilar concept wise.

ORK BOX, drop pod like transport, holds 20 regular models or 10 mega armored models, or 3 kans, or 1 deffdread. Has useless firepower and scatters an additional die of distance, costs more points than space marine drop pod, but damages anything it lands on.

Wouldn't be Ork if it you also didn't have to roll a S4 hit against every Ork in the Box when it lands...

I'd also like to see an Ork Bomma that carries a hollowed-out bomb filled with Ork assaulters it drops as a bombing run (and can fly off to Ongoing Reserves to pick up another one...). "Getcha choppa's ready boyz, looks like we gonna fall right on der faces, hur hur!"

If it is the only vehicle in my Ork list in reserves. I don't want it shot down in reserves.
I had forgotten that if there were more "flyers" then I could choose which were in a Dogfight.
I does come with a twin linked Deff gun and a bigshoota.

I think someone mentioned fire, but the again I do sometimes read things incorrectly, ahhh well if only zoggy had saw this.

This is good, it opens up various strategies ect and gives them a slight buff
1 question, is it an Assault Vehicle?
If so, Stick some Tank Bustaz in there....
Or Burna Boyz, using their Burnaz for assaulting with AP3 melee weapons...
Or Lootaz/Flash Gitz for a Flying Dakka Gunship...

A very good unit now, will probably be mostly seen in a Speed Freaks army (Bikes, Stormboyz ect) as it allows super fast fire support

Cough if it really is a flyer then it doesn't have hover so it can't land but who cares about that.

The greatest thing about it...throw it in a custom wazmob...now my transport has an invul save

Ultimately this doesn't mean anything without a new datasheet but it does suggest that a new datasheet is coming.

I notice that they did not errata the flyer wing wording onto everything so only those models that have gotten a new datasheet can be purchased as a wing.

I could have sworn they said it was a flyer when the 6th edition came out, same time they made nightwing interceptors and Phoenix bombers flyers...
