master of ordinance wrote:No, IoM is not becoming tiresome. What is becoming tiresome is the constant Space Marine spam being forced down our throats by GW. I agree (I am very happy, of say, the Tempestus or AdMech releases). I think the community should help too. How many times to a newcomer SM are suggested because they are "easier"? The main problem I have with marine spam is that they are supposed to be super-soldier, but you see them so much they are not special anymore. This is particularly severe with the Deathwatch and the Grey Knights. Those, the inquisition, the assassins and perhaps the sisters should be merged in one codex. Same Ad-mech + Skitarii, same IG and MT.

Generic characters disappearing? Elite units of your army losing options and customizations? No longer finding that motivation to convert?
Your army could suffer Post-Chapterhouse Stress Disorder (PCSD)! If you think that your army is suffering one or more of the aforementioned symptoms, call us at 789-666-1982 for a quick diagnosis! |

Eldar havent gotten any updates to their aspect warriors. I think the fact that they're all resin is part of the reason why scatbikes and wraiths are popular (hint: its the plastic)
Chaos got a band-aid supplement and kharn. Thats it. They're getting Magnus and plastic Rubric Marines which is cool, but that doesn't change Rubric Marines rules.
Orks have gotten nothing for a while.
Same with Nids, Dark Eldar, Imperial Guard.
Genestealer Cults and Deathwatch are nice, but I really think they need to stop with the new models and start updating the existing things that we use in our codexes. Heck, I started up Space Wolves for the simple fact that orks are getting the sisters treatment it seems.

Deathwatch didn't need a codex. The Sisters of Silence and Custodes are neat though, I like the idea of one-off "flavor" units being a thing.
I can't get caught up on the IoM stuff though, since they just released the Genestealer Cults. Friggin awesome.

Frankly, all that the Tyranids really need is access to rulebook powers.

Your forgot the Imperial Guard. And no, "you can just ally with XYZ" is not a suitable answer.

Disagree strongly here - so many poor units, and just one broken one (flyrants) that then becomes the crutch of every tournament-viable list.
I'd like to see devourers/ BL nerfed (I mean seriously, 12 shots at BS4 with twin-linked and S6? what else puts out that kind of firepower on a durable frame?).
Correspondingly I'd like to see other units buffed. It would be nice if the stabby-stabby alien close assault army was actually... yknow... good in assault...
The codex desperately needs a GMC too.
