So I'm starting to collect my first army, a Tzeentch-themed Chaos Daemons army. I need to find some alternatives for pink horrors - I'm not huge on the GW ones, and they're a little on the expensive side for something I'm probably going to be painting quite a few of. I'm also not a big fan of the well-known dryad substitute - I just think they look a little too, well, stick-y.

The closest thing I've found that might work is this: http://www.fantization.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=10192

They're wonderfully Chaos-looking, and might fit well with my mutation/change theme. They also look more like what pink horrors might look like, if I paint 'em pink enough. Do you think they could reasonably pose as replacements? I'm not planning on doing any tournamenting with them, mostly just FLGS games.

I've also thought of loading up a base with two of these guys to pose as a pair of blue horrors: http://chaosorc.com/dark-age-brood-puds-blister-packet-p-9572.html
... to count as the same thing. I've read that it's totally acceptable to model two blue horrors on a base to count as a single pink horror, and I really liked that idea. I'd probably just have a couple of 'em per squad, just for fun.

Anything else out there?

And also, while I'm at it: anyone know of a good non-Space-Marine Tzeentch Daemon Prince conversion/replacement? (IOW, not using a Space Marine body or power armor or anything remotely Space Marine-y.

Tzeench models tend to be coils flesh and just exotic colors, so really try sculpting them, or adding onto humans.. think multiple mouths, arms- go nuts.

Hmm, so what if I throw on a couple errant arms/feet/extraneous limbs onto either one? It might look a little out of place on the "incubi", but on the little guys it could make them look a little more "blue horror"-ish.

If you think pick horrors cost too much look at the price of the first models you mentioned. But if you want to go with them make sure you put greenstuff on any clothes, because warp entities do not wear Gene Simmons' old clothes.

Haha, good point - their pants are kinda ugly

I've found 'em for cheaper elsewhere, is the reason I'm considering them. But it's worth it to me to pay a little bit extra for a mini I'm more excited to paint.
