Game 2 of the day, this time, some Objectives. Fighting Chaos Marines this time.

Brian's(?) CSM
Slaanesh Lord w/ Blissgiver and jumppack
Defiler
Land Raider
Khorne Berzerkers
2 squads of Melta CSM, with rhinos
4 Obliterators
Plasma Chosen (5)

Mission: Hold more objectives than your opponent, easy and simple.
The Objectives must be placed at least 14" away from each board edge, each player gets to place 2.

Victory Conditions:
Massacre: Hold 4 more objectives than your opponent
Major Victory: Hold 2 or 3 more objectives than your opponent
Minor Victory: Hold 1 more objective than your opponent

Anyway, I lose the roll off, he lets me go first.

My Deployment:

Combined Infantry Squads squats near the objective, everything else is spread out. Plasmavets deploy close to the other objective. Ratlings will infiltrate at the trees on the right.

He also deploys his Oblits down near the bottom objective.

Turn 1: IG
Movement: I move the Ratlings onto the objective near his oblits, my chimeras and tanks roll forward, and my blob squad takes the objective. My Plasmavets also take my objective.
Shooting:
Honestly, very underwhelming. I Immobilize a rhino. My Manticore whiffed against his LR, and my Bassie missed the open squad of Khorne Berzerkers. My tanks take potshots at the oblits, they take a wound or two.

Turn 1: CSM
Movement: He moves a rhino into cover, his Zerkers enter the LR, and the LR moves forward. Also moves lord onto his truck objective.
Shooting: He immobilizes my melta chimera, then blows it up. A few vets die. His Obliterator also fires a lascannon at a Russ, wrecking it.

End of Turn 1:
IG: 2
CSM:0

Turn 2: IG
Marbo and the Vendetta arrive from reserves. Marbo appears near the chaos lord. The Vendetta comes behind the Defiler.
Movement: My meltavets move in, so they can blast the LR.

Shooting: My ratlings kill an obliterator, but my meltavets AND vendetta whiff against their respective targets, vendetta is about to die. Marbo also blows away the Blissgiver lord.


Turn 2: CSM

Movement: His LR comes closer to my front lines, his CSM fron the immobilized rhino move to my vendetta.
His chosen come in from reserve.
A rhino moves toward the far objective.
Shooting:

Defiler blows up my Vendetta, CSM run to my vets.

End of Turn 2:
IG: 2
CSM: 0

Didn't take pics at this point, pressed for time.
Pretty much, his LR tank-shocked my blob squad off the board, I knew I was going to lose then.

At the end of the game, the score was
IG:1
CSM:3

He gets a major victory. I get a lesson to never take a blob squad unless I have a commissar.
