They're looking really nice mate, the carapaces especially.

You've got a really nice stark highlight there.

My only point of improvement would be to blend the highlights of the talons a little bit more, it's looking like it goes to that yellow a little unnaturally.

But other than that, keep up the really nice work you've got going there

if you take the talons and leave them black... doing a grey blend would look nice.. aside from that.. Great job

I really like the 'fleshy' bits with the dark blotches, it works well and looks quite natural.

Shading from black to bright yellow is going to be hard. In the last photo, the right hand guys right talon is out of focus and it actually looks pretty good. Maybe its just a case of softening the blend.

hey nice nids but I agree with lord ghazghkull I think maybe slightly more subdued colours on the talons, your painting of the carapace and main body looks so good that having another bright colour kind of detracts from how well the actually nids are painted you've got some really lovely painted models there though, well done

Well, I'm no master at this yet, but if you lay down a wet strip of black, and then lay down a wet strip of yellow (or dheneb stone, or what have you) right next to it, you can pull one into the other for a good blending effect. Like any skill, it takes a little practice, but a wide and flat claw like you have here is easily scraped off with the edge of a knife, so lends itself well to a canvas on which to practice... you should try this.
