Hi to all you chaos fans out their. I personally am not a chaos follower. But i am reading a fantastic book series called the Horus Heresy. Yes Yes i am sure you all know what that major event is. But i have decided to rebuild the Sons Of Horus legion. The will have the colour scheme of light greem trimmed red, just as in the books. I was goin to make the Luna Wolves, but the Sons Of Horsu are much coller. I can not get to my warhammer 40k supplier 'till Thursday. So please post on if you think it's a good idea or not.

I dig the Horus Heresy books too. I had the idea rather than a whole army to paint a Legion Of The Damned squad as loyalist Luna Wolves or Emperor's Children. Then I realized that I can't use LoTD anymore. Still maybe I'll paint up some of my chaos boys that way for grins

I'm Only going to do it for display and i might use them as impreials if i do use them. But I'm just figuring out how to make horus andy suggestions?

Not bad, but I always pictured Horus as tall, bald and with lightning claws.

I know the evil horus, But I'm going off of the horus in the books. The first 2-3 horus heresy books.

He looked something like that, but less like an emo, with the Sons of Horus colour scheme trimmed with gold. I think.

You might want to try and smooth out the white by starting with scorched brown then add a layer of bleached bone and then finish with skull white.

These photos take ages to load, maybe try hosting them in the Dakka gallery and linking them?

Good to see you using an older model, fits the heresy them well. Might I reccomend thinning down your paint a bit and building up from grey. Maybe paint it something like- basecoat 3:1 Chaos Black and Codex Grey, then 2:1, 1:1, then flat codex grey and finally codex grey with a build up of white, untill you reach pure white.

Or you can do it in a firmly tabletop method by going codex grey, 50/50 codex grey white, then white.

Not wantingto be mean, but I think you need to work on the photo quality a little, and then on finishing strokes on your dudes. In some areas it looks like you used too much paint. Also, Horus should really be having ab igger armour, he was always wearing a terminator like-sized piece of artificer armour, and I think when he renamed the legion he went with the dark paint scheme for his armour. the AOBR captain is not giving him justice. Imo, he looks like here (top right):

You never said so, you don't seem to be able to take criticism AT ALL.
You should water down your paint and use less, it is too thick and you just keep spreading the butter it is.
If you're not gonna highlight anything give it a wash, it gives a much more complete look.
