Hi There,

In this newsletter we are pleased to announce that the eagerly anticipated rules for the extremely popular Shas-O-Ralai are now available to download from the Forge World website. We also have more exciting new releases for Ork and Raven Guard players, and news of our upcoming show schedule along with an exclusive sneak peek of our future plans...

Thanks,
Ead Brown

Ork Kommando Upgrade Set Available to Pre-Order Now
Just as we thought the fantastic tide of Ork releases we have treated you to recently had abated, the talented Mark Bedford has sculpted a highly detailed set of Kommando Upgrade parts for use with the plastic Ork Boyz kit. Kommandoz often make use of 'Chinork' Warkoptas to launch the Orky equivalent of an Imperial stealth raid. In these raids, dozens of Orks cling to the sides of these huge war machines before leaping onto the heads of their hapless enemy and directly into battle.
This highly anticipated conversion set is available to pre-order now for release in the week commencing July 26th.

Raven Guard Transfer Sheet Available to Pre-Order Now
Following the incredibly popular Raven Guard releases from Forge World, including the Raven Guard Upgrade Set and Shadow-Captain Korvydae, comes this fantastic Raven Guard transfer sheet. Designed by Forge World graphic artist Kenton Mills, this A4 decal sheet is packed with over 600 Chapter-specific icons and squad markings to allow you to add detail to your Raven Guard models. The sheet covers the full range of Raven Guard insignia which can be applied to all types of Space Marine vehicles and troops. This transfer shoot is available to pre-order now. It will be despatched in the week commencing July 26th.

Shas'o R'alai Rules Now Available to Download
Commander Vesu'r R'alai is one of the Tau Empire's most experienced Battlesuit pilots, a grim and driven warrior who is famed for his fearlessness, controversial tactics and utter dedication to the defence of Tau. Imperial Armour writer Alan Bligh has recently put the finishing touches to a unique set of eagerly-awaited special rules for this aggressive, talented Tau Commander. You can find these rules in our Downloads section or by clicking here. The rules for our other XV-9, XV9-01 and XV9-04 Close Support Armour variant Battlesuits are available in Imperial Armour Apocalypse II.

Exclusive Sneak Peek
As you may have heard from our Studio design team at the Forge World Open Day back in March, or read in the Games Day UK Preview, our designers, graphic illustrators and writer Alan Bligh have spent much of the past few months feverishly working on an incredibly exciting Imperial Armour project that is, as yet, still Top Secret.

Our agents have managed to obtain this exclusive work-in-progress sneak peek of one of a veritable cornucopia of forthcoming Space Marine releases. Forge World is once again turning its attention to the noble warriors of the Adeptus Astartes, the Emperors' Finest. Many boffins died to bring us this information, so keep an eye on the Forge World Newsletter over the coming weeks for more details of this thrilling project...

I am almost certain that space marine is a sneak peek of Pre-Heresy marines. Awesome.

Or more Raven Guard stuff. Seeing as how IA9 is supposed to be a continuation of the 'campaign' began in IA8, that's where my money goes in terms of a bet.

Doubtful honestly. They have already released Raven Guard stuff, we know they are releasing ravenguard stuff, so why is the "Super Top Secret" Space Marine project more "Raven Guard stuff"?

Looking at the design of the helmet, and the back pack that can be seen, looks like crusade armor to me!

Raven Guard maintain a large number of older suits, which makes them the best time to release more Raven Guard stuff.

Plus, they stated they want to give Raven Guard the full "Red Scorpions" treatment--which means we'll be seeing a large number of things coming for them.

The transfers are the best thing about this release, no mistake. And the sneak peak kinda' reminds me of a noise marine, but as it's meant to be loyalists I guess it's not.

Holy CRAP. R'alai's rules are top notch. Pricey, but remember that he comes with two marker drones as an IC.

Riddle me this: what has four sides, moves twelve inches, and moved fourteen?

Precisely, they 'stated' that. How is that Top Secret?

Regardless, I look foreward to whatever is coming, always great stuff...thanks for sharing!

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

SCREEEECH!!!!!!!

That would be my PH World Eaters coming to a halt in light of this "Top Secret" project. I think the TS project is more towards PH than RG. While the Ravens might use more sets of older armor, isn't MK VI their preferred older suit? That pic isn't a beaky suit at all and doesn't make me think RG in the slightest. As far as fleshing out the Ravens on par with the Scorpions, I think they've pretty much done that. The only missing kit I can think of is Assault Squad.

Only time will tell and I'm crossing my fingers for Pre Heresy suits. I'd plotz for Traitor Legion pads in pre heresy schemes.

Raven Guard just got a MKVI suit upgrade pack.

And really, the text of the preview certainly implies something 'more' than just another upgrade pack... or maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part!

Still, either way, more Pre-Heresy suits of armor will equal a win for me, and for FW's bottom line!

The "Raven Guard upgrade kit" is designed to be used with Tactical and Assault Squads. However, they don't have Terminator shoulderpads just yet.

But honestly, I'd be very very surprised if the next IA wasn't focusing on the Raven Guard in some way. Their original proposal for the next campaign was that IA8 would be Elysians taking the spotlight, with Raven Guard support--then Raven Guard taking the spotlight with the Raptors and Guard taking the assistance role.

I'd be OK with that too, as it would be 2x good for me - Raven Guard AND Pre-Heresy armor!

I thought IA9 was going to be the 'other' 3 Klans of Orks and... Eldar?

Or is IA9 3 other 3 Klans of Orks and IG/RG, and IA10 is Eldar vs. (x)?

I like the Kommandoes too, but they're not nearly as interesting to me as Pre Heresy armor.

I'm not familiar with the Ork line enough. Is the kit made up of heads and packs for boys with a complete boss upgrade?

I have to say, im a bit dissapointed with the ork kommando kit. It really only is a backpack for a few boys, some masks and a few parts for a nob. They should have added some arms imo. (backwards knife ftw!)

The way they made it sound...IA9 is going to be the remaining 3 Klans of Orks v. Elysians and Raven Guard(with their Successor Chapter) exacting some bloody revenge on the Orks in a counter-invasion while the Waagh! is tearing apart an Imperial Forgeworld. They were talking about having Eldar playing a part in it as kind of "prodding" the Waagh! into the sector to avoid a Craftworld or Maiden World.
