Okay so here's a shot at a fluffy/somewhat competitive list for my Iron Warriors.

HQ:
Chaos Lord - Terminator Armor, Lightning Claws, and MoK - 140pts
Elites:
4x Terminator Champions - 3x Lightning Claws, Hvy Flamer, Powerfist, IoK - 250pts
Troops:
10x CSM - Champion w/Powerfist, 2x Meltaguns, Rhino - 245 pts
10x CSM - Champion w/Powerfist, 2x Meltaguns, Rhino - 245 pts
10x CSM - Champion w/Powerfist, 2x Meltaguns, Rhino - 245 pts
Heavy Support:
Vindicator - Daemonic Possession - 145pts
Vindicator - Daemonic Possession - 145pts
Predator - Autocannon, HB Sponsons - 100pts
Dedicated Transport:
Land Raider - Havoc Launcher - 235pts

Total: 1750pts

this looks solid but I will suggest that IoCG is quite handy to stop you troopers running away.

This list has a lot of balance to it, the weapon selection is fine in the troops and the HQ seems solid as is the heavy support is good and fluffy

but I cannot help you with the terminators(never used them my self)

One thing I think you will face with difficulty are ''jet seer'' lists and thigs of thet type.

Iron Within! Iron Without!

Chaos Lord is ok; not the best HQ mind you.

Elites are ok if that's your bag.

Troops are fine; icon of chaos glory can help and havoc launchers on the Rhinos for anti tank.

Single Land Raider will be target priority and can be stopped without any problems; plus Chaos Raiders aren't that cool - no POTMS :(
