I need to get a word document to every person going to an event. Can I attach this to a PM and if so how or am I going to need everyone's home e-mail so I can forward it the old-fashioned way???

I don't think you can do that in a PM.
I'm assuming this is for the WW get together yes ?
If so, I'll check with the management but i reckon we might get away with you attaching said document to a thread on the site and people can just download it from here. I'll enquire and let you know ASAP.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

PMs do not support attachments to minimise the risk of viruses.
The way I'd do it would be to upload to some third party location (google docs perhaps) and then link from there in the PM messages.

Yes! You can! Highlight the text you want to send in your word document, and press ctrl+C on your keyboard. Click in the text box for your PM, and press ctrl+V. Voila!

Tables won't work, Endova. Images (from word) won't either, they have to be from dakka or online, or another guy's post. At least I don't think so...

You can make tables in the article wiki but it's pretty fiddly.

But it wouldn't translate properly into the PM, the layout of the table won't look right, AFAIK.
