Excuse the low resolution of the photos. It looks better than the photos, I swear. The cross-board on top of the banner is a bit of cherry planking from a model ship kit. The banner is some of the sail from the kit I soaked it some dirty water. Note the little wooden block. I wrapped twine around the cherry plank and banner pole to make it look like the plank was lashed to the pole.
