I really do believe that even a modest PC is more rewarding than the best console.
n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.
It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.
I am a PC aficionado and am strongly of the opinion that the prevalence of modern console titles has ruined the gameplay value of the PC market, which is full of games designed for oversimplified controllers.
2D fighters are a different matter altogether.

Bollocks. Most non-RTSPC games were never any more complex control-wise than console games, nor are PC-optimised FPSs like TF2.
Console controllers have merely advanced much closer to the level of control and comfort that PCs have. Games haven't been simplified at all.
... but yeah, BlazBlue is worth picking up if you're into bizarre fighting games. Definitely deserves the hype it gets.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.
Hi Cheese! Ya mum's bollocks! The Baldur's Gate example is just plain wrong, unless you're talking about those atrocious 'Dark Alliance' licenses on PS2/XBOX. You have failed to account for RTS games entirely. Yes, there are still good titles, made for PC. It's just a pity that games like Oblivion were ported to PC with a clearly console-oriented interface that they didn't bother to redesign, and that this will continue to happen. I didn't say that the games themselves have simplified - obviously technological advances have increased the amount of content in games.
I've been gaming for about 30% longer than you've been alive. I'm not saying that my opinion is more valid, it's just that I've been of this opinion for longer and I ain't gonna change it.
I prefer PC games and my opinions are based on my own perception and preferences. If you'd rather consoles, then play consoles! It doesn't bother me in the slightest!
The XBOX>>>X360 controller didn't so much evolve as crawl out of a puddle of primordial slime. That old one was terrible, even after they 'redesigned' it.

I still want a PS3 for the reason given above.
I edited my post earlier. I was a bit hasty, and I apologise.
RTS is always going to be superior on the PC. That's a fact that can't ever change, which is why the few console RTS games have been altered to require less precision (e.g. Halo Wars, which has radial menus and squads).

Red Alert 3 was fun, but my bro and I loved starcraft on the N64 because we could do splitscreen.
Is Blaz-Blue like Guilty Gear? My friend is a big fan of those games and always wants me to play them with him. Mainly because I button mash the hell out of the controller and still seem to win.
One time I was playing against a computer on the hardest difficulty and won by pushing the directional buttons to move and circle to attack.
So if it is like guilty gear I have another fighting game to put my friend to shame in.
I need one too, to play KH3, whenever it comes out. Then I can die in peace :3
And I've still yet to buy a Wii, despite being an incredibly Dedicated Metroid Fan....The other M is coming out.....fuuuu. Someone let me borrow their wii :3

This was a huge waste of money. Yeah, I loved Metroid Prime Corrution 3. Yeah I loved Twilight Princess. Yeah I loved . . . nope thats it. I don't even think I'm going to get other M. Off to get BlazBlue now, tata!

Yeah, that's about all I want it for anyway. Brawl doesn't entertain me, I have Twilight princess for the Gamecube....The only purchases I'd even consider are the metroid prime trilogy and The other M, possibly Rockband (SD card DLC hacks :3).
Why does nintendo laugh at us serious nintendo gamers? To call Super Mario Galaxy a "video game" is a cruel joke. You can't play that for more than a couple minutes before falling asleep. It's more like an endless demo. Pokemon on the wii? Yeah, like people have ever actually liked those.
Every time they make a 3D pokemon, it fails horribly and dies slowly. Maybe I just don't have the attention span to play 3D versions pf crappy 8-Bit monsters....
There was a Taokaka cosplayer at otakon this year... I swear if I weren't in such a committed relationship, I woulda talked her and taken her back to my room for some absinthe and 'food'.
