Not sure about Super, maybe they should have named it Pregnant Killa Kan - she's just about to pop!
On a more serious note, I'd be surprised if Killa Kan was not a trademarked unit name (most GW unit names outwith the most generic seem to be included in the Big List on the front page of their publications) or is this an example of China getting away with murder because the rest of the world is too busy fawning and cr@pping themselves to keep in with the worlds favourite totalitarian regime?
It does highlight a problem with GW in that Ork kits, by their nature, are impossible to truly protect from an IP standpoint because they look like cobbled together junk.
S'Show could have made their lives easier, though, by not including the pole with the glyph on and calling it a 'junkyard battle robot' or some such, while going *nudge, nudge, wink, wink* to Ork players the world over.
Whilst I'm sure GW legal will be having a look at this, unless the bottom barrel flips open to reveal "mini-Killa-Kan" (in which case people will buy it for laughs) I'm not sure it'll sell in any event. Its just too wierdly unbalanced IMHO.

Chinese companies get away with violating copyright/trademarks because as I understand it under Chinese law this would not be a violation. It has nothing at all to do with what anyone thinks of the Chinese government.
I agree though- this thing needs to drop some tin boyz. Or maybe just bounce around like a hippity-hop.

the spidery walker is fairly neat - I think it needs some panel lines to look more WWII, and the legs seem spindly maybe its the feet.
The tank is at least as snazzy as the FW ones.

i think both are ok sculpts but they don't impress me enough to want to buy them (especially since i've sold off most of my orks) at that price. if you're going to be "inspired" by someone else's work/IP, you should at least price your work lower than the official stuff.

There are a number of small Chinese companies that have become very adept at resin casting. I've seen copies of FW models which have had sharper detail and less flaws than the originals.
The problem with these is that they look like they were designed by someone who had a quick flick through some photos of the FW Ork models then built them from scratch. They're vaguely familiar, but sort of 'off'.
China does have IP laws, but they are not enforced particularly rigourously or consistently. The Chinese legal system is still very primitive and far too politicised to be a reliable means of enforcing legal rights - maintaining social order and the party's grip on everything is still their main purpose.

There is a flood of unlicensed Warhammer stuff from China on eBay these days. T-shirts, belt buckles, jewelry, watches and now models as well. It's interesting that the model posted here is on the Australian site rather than the US eBay site and the price definitely reflects that. GW legal in Nottingham must be going crazy trying to figure out how to stop this proliferation of unlicensed merchandise. Here's a link if you want to see some of the aforementioned merchandise.
The tank does look cool. And the unsubstantiated reassurance that the merchandise is high quality is amusing. My question is, has anyone here actually purchased any unlicensed Warhammer merchandise from China and if so, how was the quality and service? Did it arrive in a reasonable amount of time? How was the quality? If you had a problem with a defect how did they respond? I'm not sure I would take a chance on any of this stuff.

Dunno, the two words I'd use to describe them are "bland" and "mediocre", but maybe I've been overexposed to anime mecha (actually even amongst anime mecha they're bland).
