If I have two independent characters in one unit together can I split wounds if they are equipped the same? I do not believe you could as they are identical in gaming terms. Any thoughts?

Great question - I am pretty sure they count as a single wound allocation group because they are identical in every way.

I am sure one of the gurus will validate or correct this interpretation.

If they are identical in game terms then you would have them as a single wound group.

As long as they are the SAME IC, then they become one Wound Group. For example, two Chapter Masters joined together with the exact same equipment would be a single wound group.

However, a Chapter Master joined to a Captain with the same equipment would be two wound groups.
