Subject: Manoknok's Fighting Manoks: Finally a mega picture update 11/Dec!!
Two tablespoon's of cinnamon,
and two or three egg whites.
A half a stick of butter?. Melted?
stick it all in a bowl baby.
Stir it with a wooden spoon.
Mix in a cup of flour,
you'll be in Halfling heaven soon.
Say everybody have you seen my Halflings,
They're small, hairy and fat.
If you ever need a small back me up
just call my halfling army out.
Oooo check out my small fat halfling army
check em out, and fight em!
Check out my small fat halfling army,
they're packed full of lard, and four feet tall.
So check out my halflings.
(Que funky Riff).
Man. I love halflings. Not as much as Chef likes his Chocolate Salty Balls but nearly. Actually no where near. But you know what I mean.
So, over the years I have collected a lot of halflings. Most of them by GW - and most of them of different sizes.
This is my attempt to build up a small (pun intended) fighting force for Warhammer.
My Army List is going to be something like:
2x Manoknok's Fighting Chickens (Dogs of War Lumpin...)
2x Crotch Breakers (Want to get the Bloodbowl Models for their lethal uppercut)
2x Ankle Bighters (Smaller halflings - to explain my size difference in Models)
Some Ents/Treemen
Some Hot Pots (Want to scratch build as I have little money)
And...some Back Up.
SO.....currently I am looking for suggestions as to what colour I should paint my Fighting Chickens:
Submission on a post:
Ps. Kudos if you get what models I have for Back Up.
I'm not actually sure what army list to use; I've seen a couple of PDF Moot armies on the net, but if people don't agree to play me with them (if I can find an opponent!) I guess I will use Empire.
I need some Hot Pots for sure, as the halfling army is er...a little weak. I was also thinking of a Hot Cauldron, sort of a giant hot pot.
@ Neil haha thanks! They are about equally paired.
UPDATE:
I left my camera at work so I can't show any photos (will post tomorrow). I did a nice looking Tubby, a mix of purple, yellow and woodland green. I think I will go for that shceme. Maybe different coloured pants for some models.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Forgot to mention my most important unit in my original post.
They can get pretty viscious.
I am also thinking of cockerel cavalry.
Guess the unit?
Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerers of death's construction
In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds
Oh lord yeah!

Subject: Re:Manoknok's Fighting Manoks (Very Chickeny Fighting Chickens) Halfling Army
Actually I already have about 30 fighting cocks already, and I think 12 Golfags Ogres. I then have about 30 other GW halflings who are much smaller and I'll use them as ankle biters.
pig riders? that'd be cool - little halfling man is looking great! I remember these back in the day. They always gave a chuckle. some many little food details on em.
@ Weety - actually I was thinking of just getting a farmer and a load of pigs...he then ushers them into the enemy. haha
I hit a bit of a problemo last night with one of the back up. I had painted up the body and the right arm to a standard I was pleased with. However, it turns out none of the supplied heads fit with the hair on the back of the model...there is about a .5cm gap! Narg! Luckily I have two of this model in question so I will knock up a GS filler on the spare unpainted one, unercoat it, attach it the painted one, paint it, and attach the head.
Picture soon...sorry me and my computer are in different locations today.
So today is a national holiday in the Philippines meaning I have yet another 4 day work week (we seem to have a lot of these). I'm not complaining as I spent the day sleeping, painting and cooking.
Here are the modeling results:
Ps I need Warhammer bases, nearly all of mine melted many moons ago.
