Finland... the country next to Sweden? No! That's Norway! Finland is to the east! No! That's Russia!

If you have built larger scale (larger than 50mm) dioramas can you tell me where did you get the diorama bases?

Here's an example

Sweet Jesus, Nurgle and Slaanesh in the same box!?
No, just Nurgle and Slaanesh, Jesus will be sold seperately in a blister.

I believe (although I have not tried it) that something like that can be made inexpensively. Obviously, you need a large chunk of wood to make the centre of it, and the edging sections of wood can be brought from a DIY shop or even taken from an old picture frame. You will need to carefully cut the corners of the edging and then glue them on. Finally give it a good coat of varnish.

You think he will go to Michaels from Finland just to buy some wood? I highly doubt that

Wal-Mart here has a whole section with these type of bases, ranging from round to square. A good stain and varnish can usually do the trick, and they're pretty cheap too, costing less than 5 bucks.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Wal-Mart!? In Finland!? I wish

So as for short I should get some good quality finnish wood (hehehee... Wood) and build one myself?

The only problem is I am bad working with wood, especially using the saw... anyways back to the topic.

Dollar stores here carry the same kind of bases too, although I guess that'll depend on the individual stores themselves.

I allways assumed they would be a DIY job with a lathe. Could try Ineon's suggestion, but I'm sure it would look more professional if it was a single block of wood.
