Need to start planning ahead, as next Friday I’ve a busy day of seeing the new Ghostbusters movie, and a gig at my local. With my last two Legion Support sets arriving this afternoon, reckon I might set that day aside for undercoating Epic stuff.

Day 76

Calling this lad done. Wasn’t initially sure the alternating colours on the sarcophagus lamps was working, but a careful layering and tidy up has left me satisfied.

Next up today should be assembling more Epic models, which should be in my palid, sweaty mitts in the next hour or two.

Tomorrow I’ll do another paintjob on another Dreadnought.

And a group shot, with just a Leviathan and a Deredeo left to go.

Starting to actually properly dawn on me that, sooner or later, I’ll be left with nothing 28mm Heresy left to paint from my current collection.

The next shelf stands at 4 Predators, a Laser Vindicator, 10 MkVI Assault Marines and the two AoD characters. I’m definitely feeling confident enough to tackle the characters now.

Have also assembled a sprue of Legion Support. Soon as the other three are done and I can properly visualise assets, I’ll get my army list updated. But I’m pretty sure I need another box of Infantry.

Second Deredeo is on the work bench.

Day 78

Over lunch I did some metallics I’d missed/felt they were needed, and the Nuln Oil wash.

Now work is over, it’s time to change my pot water, and get the detailing done. Bit of red of course, baharroth blue on the coils, do the scroll work in Bestial Brown then bone. After that? He’ll be done.

You should paint up the Beast Snaggas. They are incredibly fun to paint.

Loooong list of stuff before I get to them. Including a tonne of Zone Mortalis for Necromunda.

But that’s the penultimate Dreadnought done to a satisfactory standard.

I can't believe you haven't got an Ork army, that'll need correcting some day

Jokes aside, great job on that dread!

If I did do an Orky army?

It’d have to be a Dredd Mob. Maybe with Grot Tank support. Just for lolz.

It’s a nice spot colour, and will of course get its second coat before it’s done.

Unsure how I want to do the lights on the sarcophagus though.

What color do you do eye lenses?

If red, you might want to go with the same shade, and then maybe some BftBG to add a gloss element? Personally I use a metalic green with a gloss green soulstone paint, but red fits your army better.

Alternatively, a bright blueish white or pale yellow makes decent lights. How do you plan to do all the headlights/spotlights on your tanks?

I use the same reds as the rest of the model. They pop out better on some, but I can’t be arsed to go redo them.

Speaking of redoing? Was about to get some Metallics down on the Leviathan, and noted its black coat was overly patchy. So tidied that up, knocking his metallics back to tomorrow. Probably a lunchtime job, so once I may be able to get the whole thing done by the end of the evening.

Yes, yes indeed

Best dread being obviously Thule in DoW2, also voiced to stellar levels in the french version of the game.

Company of heroes 1 and 2 (especially the first) where just as good, but unfortunately most games today are either poorly voiced or copy pastas of one another. Or are not even translated.

There’s two Deredeo?

Anyways feeling a bit crap today, so minimal hobby. Specifically undercoating more tanks.

Day 80

Definitely got a touch of Nurgle today, so minimal effort. Last two Predators getting their undercoat.

Not sure if I’ll be working tomorrow due to illness and my brain not working. If I take the day off, I’ll try to blitz a load of the metallics on these four.

Just doing a bit each day. Painting stamina soon increases, letting you do more in just an hour or so.

Think I want to try batch painting the Predators. Sounds daft as that’s something we normally associate with infantry, but I’m game to give it a try.

That actually makes sens, personally it's just that with most steps being somewhat longer than on an individual infantryman, I'd rather do them one at a time

Thinking brass accents and that. The Neutron Laser and Meltacannon definitely need something more. May just settle for trying heat bloom on the Melta.
