Hey all

Yesterday, I borrowed a friend's Elysian drop troop army and versed another friend's orks. A question came up during the battle, as a unit of 5 meganobz charged into a squadron of 3 armoured sentinels. Here's where my fist question is - even though it wouldn't affect the assault anyway, do models with powa klaws and furious charge get I2, or is the bonus taken away with the powa klaw? Anyway, I attacked first, doing no damage, and then he was due to assault. The next question is, is the strength bonus from the powa klaws added before or after the furious charge bonus? For the sake of time, we went with after, and ha meganobz attacked my sentinels with 20 S10 attacks. After he'd worked it out, he'd made 15 penetrations, then worked out that he had made a number of wrecked and exploded results. Should we have applied the exploded results, or just whatever comes first?

Thanks

IIRC you double, then add furious charge, so its S9.
Also, i believe you work out, how many pens/glances then, you assign them to the squad members, using coloured dice, and then roll, and apply all results.

1 - No, powerklaws and powerfists always strike at I1 (probably one or too exceptions for some special characters) p.42 BRB

2 - You should've allocated the hits on the senitals before you rolled on the Damage Table. So each senital would've been hit with 5 penetrating hits, then you roll to see what damage is done to each machine. P.64 BRB

I asked a similar question regarding FC and the strength/Initiative bonus ( i have been running a ' counts as ' khan ).As was mentioned, its S9 for the PF(PK) in this case and they strike at I2 with the +1 I.Its not much really, they will still be going last except in certain circumstances.

They do not strike at I2, p. 42 rulebook: "Power Fists, however, are difficult and cumbersome to use, so attacks with a power fist are always delivered at initative 1 (ignore initiative bonuses from special rules, wargear etc)

they strike at I1 and you need to allocate to vehicle squadrons

Thanks all. We are both still new to the game, so we aren't top notch on rules. We actually played 2 games, that being the second. In the first we completely forgot about the orders system, the mob rule, furious charge and pile in moves. My command squad managed to defeat a unit of 30 ard boyz over 3 turns because they were only fighting 3 boys...
