Anyone want to form a Guild on Guild Wars? So that we can:

A) Help eachother out with unlocking stuff for Guild Wars 2

B) Always have buddies to go kill stuff with

C) coordinate with eachother for PVP, or what passes for it in Guild Wars.

D) Share Builds

and do the usual Guildy stuff? I am fully willing to buy the Guild cap/name by myself to our decided upon name/cape, though we will all have to pitch in for the Guild Hall/upgrades, if we want those.

Messege Lord Topek in game if your interested.

I had an account.

Haven't played in so long I don't even know where the discs are and it was installed I think about 1 or 2 PCs ago.

GW2 looks interesting, might pick it up when it's out.

If I remembered the account details and my net wasn't capped I'd probably do it then. The account was shared with a couple of friends though. Sadly none of us remember it.

Most likely though I'll probably just buy a new one if I feel like getting back into it. Considering its age it should be pretty cheap so not that bad if I have to do it.

I would, but the game's gone to gak since EotN.

The Ritualist and Paragon are easily the greatest classes in online RPG history though. So fun. It's just a shame that EotN messed everything up.

I’m kinda saddened by the, most likely, exclusion of the Dervish class in GW2. From what I understand, Arena Net is bringing back the core classes from the original GW1 with a couple of new ones. 1 of the new classes is rumoured to be some sort of Engineer class that only uses guns. *Sigh* It is a shame as I was a big Dervish fan in GW1 (my Avatar of Dwana Dervish rocked) and it was a fairly unique class as far as RPGs are concerned.

However, despite this, I’m more worried about the story more. The whole, “post apocalyptic dragon, everything you knew is dead” story appears to be somewhat lame. The story also appears to mainly focus on Tyria. Whilst Cantha and Elona appear to be accessible as a side story, it is not known if Cantha and Elona will be releases with GW2 or in a future expansion.

That being said, I’m still going buy the game (Pre Order the Collecters Edition most likely in order to get all the free stuff) and give it a good shot.

Agreed on the Rit, Rit Main here, though you know that the Paragon is basically just a drunk, right? What? He is! He runs around without any pants on and shouts at random people.

I bet that the Derv will make a reapperance down the line, if not be included later on. Personally, he was my least favorite class, but I know that he filled a nice little Niche in game. Also, I hope they aren't too nerf happy in GW2. I hated making an amazing build, being the first to use it, and then it is nerfed to the ground because it became too widespread

Also, I hope the Firearm class is the Pirate. Self buffs from Alcohol (like the ones for the Norn, X effect if used, X+Y effect if used when drunk), pistols (Seathunder Pistol), swords, Shouts. Would be awesome, if you ask me. Every game needs more Pirate. Besides, if the Assassin comes back into the game and can use Swords, that's basically a Ninja

I am not so much worried about the story, to tell the truth. As long as it feels familiar, and it isn't a WoW clone, I be willing to give it a chance.

Also, I hope they find a better balance style in #2. I hate how my favorite class (Rit) has Phenominal Cosmic Power in PVE, Itty Bitty Living Space in PVP. It was the main thing that turned me off of PVP, was that my favorite class was practically worthless. I did end up getting an outstanding build for it, but you can only have so much fun with one build

Level 20 Derv here. If I can find the password, I have, like, a few hundred platinum and all gold and black stuff. So, yeah.

Guild wars was my crack before 40k.

Oh, should probably add my characters name, huh? Lord Topek, LvL 20 Ritualist. Send me a friend request if your interested, guys.

Also, I already have a guild made, though I am fully willing to disband it and make a new one if it is not to everyone's liking. It was more of an "Make a guild for myself so I'm not invited to all these little kid's birthday guilds...."

I was the deal. The big deal.

No, but I kinda was addicted. Like, OTT. I had a Dervish costume for halloween. I ran around in a skirt for a video game. *Sigh*.

It;s not a skirt man, it's a kilt

Women wear skirts, Manly men wear tights and Kilts.

I can assume you have all the campaigns done, right? Personally, I only have EotN and Factions done, with NF being half way.

Are you kidding? The ritualist was able to bring some absurd firepower to the table before they nerfed the gak out of channeling. And even after they nerfed it, I still managed to run a kickass bowspike rit.

Well, bit of a miscomunication there. I'm not trying to say he was pathetic, because he had some pretty good builds, it's just that his playstyle changed 100% between the two game "modes". I play Rit to summon Spirits, not to go around pretending I am a blind warrior/assassin.

As in, I hate those 3-5 second cast times..... I wouldn't mind the spirits doing 10 damage if they would bloody cast instantaneously like they do in the PVE.

By one build for him, I meant as a caster. If you know any good (Non Wiki) Caster builds for Rit, I would love to receive them via PM, if you would be so kind. I know that he gets outstanding with the Spirit Strength Daggers, but if I wanted high Dagger Damage, I would play a Sin.....

Well, I didn't ever run Spirit's Strength competetivly. Way too fragile and no real ability to sustain yourself.

Up until they nerfed the gak out of channeling, I used to run a pretty good channeling build that allowed you to constantly pump out a good amount of damage with minimal downtime, assuming you had the right rhythm (but if you didn't, you were fethed after 7 seconds). But after they destroyed Channeling, that went away pretty quickly.

Up until I stopped playing after they nerfed channeling, I used a bow-spike build. Combining nightmare weapon, kindle arrows, and a bunch of quickshot skills, I could do around ~300 damage in a second. I could play my version of the build in both PvE and PvP effectivly, and I find that it was much more sustainable than the HoH spam build that was popular a long time ago.

I experimented with urn dropper builds a bit, but you really need some organized team support to make something like that work, and by that time, I was playing without a guild.

Healing rits are always fairly good. They make great spike healers. I don't like being a healer though, so I never did much of that unless it was really needed. When I finally stopped joining guilds, I pretty much put my healing skills away forever.

As for the 3-5 second cast, it's that way for a reason. You can really pile on the damage with 4-5 spirits and painful bond. If you're going to spirit spam, you're going to lose a lot of mobility and versatility. That's just the way it goes.

Yeah, but the way it SHOULD go is Nerf one skill (Painful Bond) instead of nerfing almost every single skill the Rits have with that 3-5 second cast time....

Like I said, Rit with 10 damage spirits at insta cast, with Painful Bond doubling that with an additional 11 (exactly what it does now, just on a smaller scale) would make the Rit perfect. Because having to cast a 3 second spell in order to get the most out of your other ones is stupid, just plain stupid.

But anyway, this debate is getting off topic;

For the Guild, I have found a way to farm 22,000 Kurz points in 22 minutes. If you donate all that to the Guild, thats nearly 50,000 Per Run, 150,000 Per hour. That's one title down for GWAMM for an entire group.

But if you're just using one spirit, then that just destroys painful bond.

Sadly this is why I took a break from guildwars 1, after the content stopped the game just degenerated into number crunching, max/mining and overly competitive gameplay :(
