This is my first attempt at a WoC list. I am looking into getting into them and really just love the actual Warriors list and the fact that they are a low model count/ elite army when using all warriors and chaos knights. I will be using the lvl4 death wizard for enemy character sniping as well as the lvl one nurgle wizard, he will be taking bubonic buboes to help out the higher lvl wizard. The 3 infantry units are the backbone of the army with the knights as the teeth (not that the warriors aren't killy as crazy). The other main theme of the army is magic resistance coupled with tzeench marks in every unit save the knights. Let me know what you think.
I am definitely not a WoC guru so take anything I suggest with a bag of salt.
I like that you have mostly a mono-mark theme. I am wondering if a BSB would be better than your level 1 nurgle sorcerer. With leadership 8 and a lot of combat blocks, I think it would be good to have a chance to reroll those tests. It would also lose the nurgle mark and you could go tzeentch on the BSB.
Since it is part of your theme then all the magic resistance is fine, but not sure if those points wouldn't be more effective spent on other things.
The last thing I would suggest is to just take tzeentch on your level 4 to keep with the whole monogod theme. Not that you said you wanted to go mono theme, but you are pretty much there anyway.
BTW, it looks like you did mark your knights with tzeentch.

So I agree, you're going to want a BSB, especially with so much MoT going on, so that means bye-bye bewb caster ... I also think that once you play you will find that MR is not very useful, particularly against the spells that actual matter - i.e. insta-kill ones that allow no ward saves, and hexes/augments that cause no direct damage. As such, I would much rather use all those magic res points for more bodies.
Spoiler:
Here's where I take your list. Essentially, it swaps the nurgle level 1 for a tizz BSB, fixes the illegal 2 magic armors on the level 4, and makes a much more serious warrior block for the BSB to walk with, at the cost of the various MR items:
L: Sorcerer Lord - level 4, enchanted shield, talisman of preservation = 330
Note that the collar keeps some MR(2) in there for your 4+ ward vs magic needs. On the chosen, I would prefer favor on them to help your first and only buff be something awesome, and because it works against everyone. But I do agree that they're kind of the prime target for stone throwers and such, and a 5+ ward is legit. So I leave that to you.
I like Salvage's list too. I think I would lean towards the favor for the chosen instead of the ironcurse. Although I do see the dilemma of choosing something that is not guaranteed with something that will give you a definite 5+ ward vs. war machines. I also think that people are going to be a little intimidated by that knight unit too, not to mention some will pay attention to trying to take out the BSB so their fire might be directed at more than just the chosen unit.

I have taken some of the advice from all of you guys and changed a lot. I have added the Exalted hero to be my general to take the pressure off the wizard incase he blows him self up you know. The wizard is knocked down to a lvl2 with the ability to steal the enemy wizards spells and a power scroll to ensure I get one good knock out punch when I steal something like Dwellers Bellow or the 13th spell. I beefed up all the infantry units and made one warriors unit with halberds for added killyness. I have removed the magic resistance theme as I see the logic behind it not being uber important. The knight unit is down to 5 and will now be a flanking unit and I will still charge small weak units head on though. Best thing is that the warshrine made the cut and the chosen champ has the favor of the gods. Thanks and let me know what you think.
Definitely a lot better. I still think it's a bad thing to run any army, but especially tizz, without a BSB, but perhaps @ 2000 you could get away with it. On the stubborn hat, I would definitely drop it and take rapturous standard on the shield warriors, then use the extra 15 points for stuff from this list:
+ talisman of protection on general or level 2 (15)
+ enchanted shield on level 2 (15)
+ phylactery on general (or level 2) (10)
+ banner of eternal flame on halberd warriors (10)
+ charmed shield on level 2 (5)
+ ironcurse on general or level 2 (5)
+ gleaming pennant on halberd warriors (5)
And some other smaller options too. I think I would go with some defensive gear on the wizard, though either banner on the halberd boys is nice.
I'd love to add in a BSB to this army but I dont know where to get the points. The BSB was my most powerful thing in my Skaven army coupled with strength in numbers and keeping them close to the general. LD7 inspiring presence fron the general, +3 LD from ranks strength in numbers plus the BSB and deeeeeep ranks = Re-rollable LD10 Steadfast crazyness.
Honestly, I think I still like Boss's list better. The only reason why I am saying that is from my dwarf perspective (or other shooting army) I am not sure who to prioritize with his list, but with your list my main priority is the chosen unit. I am just not as concerned with the level 2 sorcerer or the 5 knights and I don't think the leadership 9 lord is as important as being able to reroll a leadership 8 test.

I do agree that Dwarves will the a formidable opponent for this army but in my gaming group there are no real active Dwarf players anyways and only 1-2 Empire players. Its also fine with my if the Chosen unit gets singled out because by turn 2 the rest of the army will be in combat and theoretically when they grab a hold of ya they wont be letting go The chaos knights and halberd boys will show their teeth. I will do a little more rethinking on the list though and see what I can come up with. Thanks again.
