Hey guys. I've been having this crazy idea for a while to do a salamanders army using the space wolf codex. I really love the Wolf codex, and love the idea of a large army made up of terminators. However, the wolves don't really look too great to me model wise (big Hairy lumberjacks imho). I've always loved the salamanders chapter, the books are great, and they just look awsome. I've done some hard thinking and this is what I've come up with:

Logan Grimnar- vulkan He'stan
Canis wolfborn- Space marine commander riding on lizardmen carnasaur
wolf guard- normal assault terminators with some green stuffed drakescale cloaks and such
Thunderwolf Cavalry or swiftclaw bikers- space marine riding on dark elf cold one
Long Fangs- greenstuffed devastators

That's pretty much what going to be in the army infantry wise. Here's some armor I wanted to include:

Bjorn the fell handed- FW dreadnought of some kind with extra converting
Nocturne's Hammer- A really pimped out rhino (Might even make it a razorback??)
Maby a few dreadnoughts
2-3 land raiders (depending on if I can fix the one I already have )
And possiblly a few predators (Yes I'm shooting for apocalypse )

I'll be getting my first batch of stuff in a few days. I'll post some WIP when I get it all in.

I've always liked the Salamanders and have thought about starting an army of them myself, but I've got so much on the go right now that anything I bought would just go on the 'to do' pile for a while. Your idea sounds very interesting to me and I look forward to seeing some of your stuff soon.

Canis wolfborn will not be used in this army, I will have a mounted wolf lord instead.

Pics!!!!!!! Ok I've been busy. Now most of this stuff I have aquirred through trades so i need to strip them. Some finished but i forgot mold lines!!!!!
The painted land raider was a friends.....he put sand on it...... But if your wondering why theres sometactical marines and thunderfire cannon in sw is because this is an apocalpse army, i want the best of both worlds.
