Okay, so I had to struggle to not put this in 40k Proposed Rules.

I want to set up a 40k drinking game to kick off the new year and clean all of the nasty old booze out of my cabinet. My desire is such as to make someone drink more as they lose, though I'd also like to 'handicap' the player doing better by making them drink as well. Here's what I'm thinking so far:

Drinks: A drink shall consist of one of the following; A shot glass worth of liquor or a "beer pong cup's worth" of beer. The opposing team determines what you drink.

Rules:
- One drink for every 50 points lost.
- One drink if you lose an objective.
- (KP missions only) One drink if you lose a KP
- Two drinks if you just took an objective from your opponent, or if you just passed up your opponent in KPs.
- If, at the end of a turn, anyone on your team is within capture/contesting range of the same object that your opponent is capturing/contesting, then a "Social" is declared, and all members of both teams take a drink.
- One drink every time an HQ is killed.
- One drink for a deep strike mishap. (3 if the mishap included an HQ)
- One drink for every unit that failed a Leadership/Morale/Pinning test.
- One drink FOR THE PERSON WHO CAUSED the test should a unit rally after falling back.
- One drink for each player at the end of their turn.
- One drink if shooting fails to effect at least one wound/vehicle damage roll.


That's what I have so far. Not so complicated it slows the game down, but enough to hopefully get you crunk. Thoughts?

Drink every time you lose a dedicated transport with troops that were still inside. Drink every time a glancing hit destroys a vehicle. Drink every time an HQ is killed. Drink any time one of your units has a deep strike mishap that kills the unit. 3 shots if this happens when you lose an HQ to a deep strike mishap. Sound like a few good additions?

-edit-running on only a few hours of sleep after a rough week with the family, grammar has taken a backseat so ignore the cut up sentences.

How about one drink if a unit fails to do any damage, before saves?

Could slow it down quite a bit though.

If I use -><- I'm not mocking you, it's a reflex from using the " silly" icon on every other forum.

I like it. I'll need to figure out how exactly I want to implement that, because I want to incorporate failing to affect a vehicle as well.

Oh god. Not cool. I'm the IG player! I do like the idea of some constant danger of getting an extra drink piled upon you. Maybe drink every time you roll more than 3 of the same number at the same time? Drink at the end of each of your turns?

Seen some people that play it where once you drink a beer you use the can itself as a large blast template with Str 3 AP 5. Anything that comes in a shot glass uses the shot glass as a small blast template with Str 10 AP 2. Drinks may be consumed at any time and empty 'ammunition' stockpiled until desired. This 'orbital alcohol bombardment' may be used during either player's shooting phase.
