So I'm looking for an army to keep me busy between finishing my space wolves and the updated tau codex in the next 18 months. I got interested in DE after reading their codex (well conceived). Drawn to a coven list for both the modeling potential and an escape from the frailty of regular DE lists. C and C welcome.

Haemonculus
Venom Blade, Liquifier @ 65

9 wracks @ 170

3 wracks @ 90
Raider

Min sized to come on for home objective and to put another darklight weapon on the field.

5 Beastmasters
5 Kymerae, 7 Razorwing Flocks @ 225

The beastmasters coming out a WWP is the most frightening prospect in the list. The speed, resilience, and damage output of this unit is going to shock some opponents.

4 Grotesques, Liquifier
1 Aberration, Scissorhand @ 210

Ahh, the brute squads. These things are like rampaging gorillas. With the haemonculi they have 2 liquifiers and FNP/FC. I think they will be able to clear a path though most opposition. I know there can be some wound allocation tricks so there is some room for playing around with unit size.

Ravager @ 115
Flicker Field

I ended up choosing ravagers instead of the fluffier talos because the ravagers start on the board and offer more saturation on turn 1. Assuming the other player will be trying his best to blow the wwp units out of the sky, the ravagers will have a more free reign from the get go. Though the TL heat lance would be sweet coming out of a wwp. Also, ravagers are cheap and effective.

Total: 1750 on the nose.

I have 12 Dark Lances for AT. Less than average for standard DE but sufficient for the task. Also, I can also put 8 liquifiers on the field, a truly fearsome weapon and far above the usual number.

Troops may be a concern, which I expect many people will raise. I am open to other configs.

Thanks!

This looks quite nice. Any ideas on wrack conversions? Id love to hear them!
In regards to the list, the 3 man wrack seems pointless. I say remove one ravager and work this squad up to nine or ten, though this is just in MHO. The squad would be killed too easily, it seems pointless.

Im not sold on grotesques, mainly because trueborn and incubi just seem more prepared for what they do. tureborn = better anti tank. Incubi = better anti infantry.
